thanks for the suggestions, i agree with you DMD should have a video like a high end jewelry store or fashion shop, it should be trendy, and elegant in my opinion, that is the sort of crowd we want to attract, DMD should be the Diamond standard of online payment.

It would be good if someone could contact websites like this one http://www.bitwincasino.com/ and asked if they accepted two types of payments for playing their games. What I gathered Lottocoin is going to replace Litecoin there.
Alternatively, someone could simply buy some game scripts and setup a website with such games. I've seen some casino games scripts for sale on bitcointalk.org and other places. They weren't prohibitively expensive.

I doubt DMD will ever be accepted as payment standard. I see its strength as value storage more than anything else. At the moment it's not appealing as such as there are more people mining it and dumping at very low prices (below daily electricity cost I assume) than buying it. I think this aspect should be stressed more than anything else.
Realistically looking at things with eMunie coming out next month (which will become a benchmark for all future fiat crypto currencies) there's going to be a massive shift on the market. None of the 1st generation of coins including DMD will be able to effectively compete with it as an effective payment system. I might be wrong but a lot of things point I well might not be,  especially if they make the code open source (clones will flood the market).

Hi! Im Minar.cc Admin.
As the pool news states, on New years eve the pool double payed all users. Including you if you were mining, and got the pool funds so low that i cant run payouts anymore. I am waiting for the pool to resume its balance so i can resume payouts.
All the coins are being mined fine and are there for users to get as soon as the balance allows me to.
I have an intact record running pools, you can check the whole forum for this, I want you all to get the coins i swear.
Anyway, you all got double payed so you should not be that angry...

Are you able to provide a bit more detail on how a double payout occurs? I was under the impression that something like this couldn't happen to these cryptocurrencies, unless using some kind of payment "buffer" from a coin bin of some kind. Would just like to know more about this and how it could affect users as well as how something possible like this could be seen by the public.
If anyone has any links to websites that explain this, it would be appreciated. Just at work atm, so unable to really google for it.

The double payout was made through the pool payout system, not the actual coin daemon. The payout system calculates each users' earnigns and makes a sendtoaddress call to the coin daemon for the right amount. Well the payout system got stuck and when re enabled it just re sent all those sendtoaddress transactions.

This sounds good.

Could you please add a one-click solution for minting coins. A button after clicking on which the wallet would simply ask for password  to unlock it for minting purposes. It's easy to do it manually in the console but for complete noobs it's simply not an option. Some  counter of coins maturity would be an advantage along with option to set aside coins one would like to use just for spending.

This would be a big selling point of DMD especially for those with slower machines who would not be able to mine at all after difficulty spike. And lets be honest it's going to spike sooner than later leaving just a small group of people with ability to mine it effectively. Centralization is bad,  very bad.

Obvious scam. First, we noticed that they are stealing the bonus blocks. Next, they go silent. Now, they simply lock people's accounts and stop paying altogether.

It's a good thing that there are now many pools to choose from so we don't need scammers in this community.

OP: I suggest you remove them from the list of pools, both here and in the DMD site.

Why did you do that?
As stated on the pool news, and already said it here.. The pool double payed the users, i have already put my own dmds to cover for losses and with the help of a few nice users that returned the coins that were not theirs, i resumed payments.

on our DMD Mining-Pool.eu http://dmd.mining-pool.eu was from 6th to 7th January bug on stratum with block finding (this bug had many other pools, which downloaded this too bad stratum update).
2 days is repaired and our pool is VERY EFFECTIVE now, look at Blocks Statistics http://dmd.mining-pool.eu/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks (and compare with others).
TX fees and bonus blocks are REALLY rewarded, just look at amount from blocks.

We will probably change prop rewards to PPLNS, what do you mean about it?

As for the price discussion, it reflects only two things, supply and demand:
1. In order for demand to go up, the community needs to show progress. It's nice the dev team has a plan, let's see how it's executed.
2. In order for supply to go down, people should hold to their mined DMD and not dump them for BTC! If you sell, how do you expect price to go up???

what i don't understand is i've been mining on dmd.minar.cc for last 24h+ with 950kh/s and according to pool estimates i should be getting around 5dmd daily (difficulity taken in to consideration) instead I have 0.6 confirmed and 0.1 unconfirmed WTF??

i don't know why you guys even bother with pool mining, difficulty is low enough that I end up with about 25ish a day mining solo with 4.2 mhs
sometimes more, sometimes a little less.. with multipool I was getting about 5-8 a day iirc

I've always pool mined, because I'm unsure how to solo mine. Do I need to install the wallet on my linux mining PC in order to solo mine? I only have the wallets on my laptop windows PC, which is not suitable for mining. Or do I just need to configure cgminer differently on the linux box?

Estimates are just that estimates.. You are welcome to try any other pool and then come back whenever you like.

You are so nice, the "issue" you are talking about was that every user got payed 2x (two times) what they were supposed to. I would not complaint myself if i got a double payment from a pool.
Even now, it was solved and payouts are sent every 5 minutes.



Please re add dmd.minar.cc to the list, users can confirm it works fine as it has always done.

i don't really care, im just sick of people complaining about it, i don't mine, i buy, and i have a lot of BTC invested in DMD im just protecting my investment, because half this thread has been filled with people whining about it, and it doesn't look good to people interested in DMD.

PPLNS favors constant and/or occasional loyal pool members over pool hoppers.

as all who choose DMD as their coin know
there is a very limited amount of DMD
once people start buying price raise very fast because avaiable amount so is low
