Question about the power supply.

Are you already able to tell if only one PCI-E 6 Pin is needed for one board?
I ask because I damaged my wires on my PSU and I need to replace them, but it is difficult to find a 6+2 replacement wire.

I see a Sunon EE92251S3-000U-999 1.3W 2400RPM fan.

Hoping they don't need to stick the 4500RPM fans on it so it runs as quiet as the Hex16B!  

H/W errors look a lot better. Gratz on 30GH a chip.

Yeah I did try to talk Marto into using a single 8-Pin PCI-E socket. Everyone has 4x 6+2 power connectors these days on 1000W PSUs.

You can get 8-pin to 2x6pin converters but we'll have to see how much power it draws to know if they'd work or melt.

I used to run 5x hd6590 from one psu, they were power hungry but that 1200wat psu never failed a bit, sure you could use one of them to power 5 HEX8A1 :-)

Yeah I know you can,t stack them but maybe place them in a shelf all next to each other.

Agree, you just need some angle brackets,


and some metric spacers,


then you could mount a single fan blowing over both heatsinks and still be stackable.
