I may have missed this but what's your advice on the PSU to use? What's the max # of boards per suggested PSU?

Thanks

Use single 12v rail psu, 80 plus gold, platinium or titanium
do not put more than 10A on a single molex cable ( you may put more but their a not designed for high current)
for pci-e cable : 20-25A max per cable

Hex8A1 uses 2x 6-Pin PCI-E connectors. Estimated power draw is expected to be 260GH/260W.

Hex8A1 uses 2x 6-Pin PCI-E connectors. Estimated power draw is expected to be 260GH/260W.
I will use 2 cables for that (not one with two outputs)

As long as the power specs don't change too much...
BOTTOM END (£38): EVGA 500W PSU, 2x PCI-E, and a single 40A/480W 12V rail, should be able to run 1x Hex8A1.
MID END (£72): Corsair 650W CS650M PSU, 4x PCI-E, and a single 51A/612W 12V rail, should be able to run 2x Hex8A1.
TOP END (£308): Enermax Platimax 1500W PSU, 10x 6+2 PCI-E, and 6x 30A/360W 12V power rails, should be able to run 5x Hex8A1.

Nice work.

Do you think it will reach 260GH or will it be a bit short?

The 2 bad chips are probably down by 30%/10GH each = 230-240GH if they were 100%

I'm not bothered if they are a few GH out just as long as they are stable and you can ship them 10th Feb I'll be a happy bunny!  Grin

Yeah, but at 1499 Euros give me a break! The ASIC chips retail for around 560 Euros for 8 of them, so that's a crazy mark up.
I see boards on their site with far more components and way cheaper.

849Euros would be a more realistic price. Lest face it, the Coincraft Desk 200 sold for way less than 1499 Euros.

I agree they should have been aimed for a price point of €995 to get enough demand but on the other points...
Do Bitmine even have a working board yet? Martin's does with mining screen shots to prove it.
Do Bitmine sell the Desk 200 anymore? No, but Martin does sell a 200GH+ miner.
How long is the Bitmine pre-order queue? March week 3? Martin says he can ship Feb 10th.
Time is money, if your mining you can make more than the price difference back, if it arrives on time!  Roll Eyes

Awesome work Marto!
I understand and high price, its kind of ptototype stage and pcb manufacture in low amounts cost a lot.
I hope when you confirmed design and spec can work on a pricing.
Once again, good job.

Have you noticed ASIC voltage value Wink that is one of the main reasons for low hw. Good hw deserves good software. And we have them all.
And reject ratio 0.14% only insane!!!  This is one of the most strict pools where rejected shares are common.
What makes something perfect are the small details which are not noticed by most of the guys  Cheesy

I hope that is irony Smiley I ordered hex16B but wanting to refund then pay more and order hex8A1, but I already missed feb 10th batch.. If nobody deals with https://technobit.eu/index.php?controller=contact that link, simply remove it or say that this is oneway communication only Smiley

It's just getting hilarious...

EDIT: just came in: Your order with the reference AGMBGDVYG from TechnoBit has been cancelled.

Thank you TechnoBit!

EDIT2: Even changed to hex8A1. Again thank you! It's very pleasing to get things moving Smiley
