Would bigger aluminium block help? Is it hot at on edges?
a bigger block would really help, but technobit wast too stingy to put a bigger one on it  |

a bigger block would really help, but technobit wast too stingy to put a bigger one on it I would guess it would cost less then a jet turbine they need to use for this... So not that sure if that is the reason... |

a bigger block would really help, but technobit wast too stingy to put a bigger one on it It's really tall already, but if it could be wider, 120 or 140mm wide, you could use larger fans that have more CFM but less noise than a 92mm fan. I don't like the bottom heatsink being in a different direction to the top. I'd rather it was running the same direction as the top one, then you could put a big fan on one end and blow air down both the heatsinks and put it in a tunnel. It looks a lot of hassle to manufacture the bottom heatsink, the way they made it, with lots of cut outs. I'm sure Marto thought it was best to deliver 260GH, noise dB(A) wasn't mentioned in the purchase contract, but GH was!  |

Yeah I want to run this with less volts like they do 850mV should make it 200GH/200W so I get less heat and can put quieter fans on. But I think Zich said he got like 23% error rate!  If I swap with someone with a later batch Feb/Mar will they be more efficient or the same? Some test result  With 220 & 880mV, ampere usage on 12V rail is 20A  Then 200 & 870mV, ampere usage on 12V rail is 17 A. hardware error is very low  |

Ok bought a 730W Thermatake as a temp PSU had 4x PCI-E. It's not enough to run 2x Hex8A1 on defaults clocks! Not 1GH/W @ 260GH! Hex8A1 #1 (Good Girl) Default Clock/Volt 245GH 368W at the wall.  Hex8A1 #2 (Bad Boy) Default Clock/Volt 248GH 408W at the wall. 40W more!  Total = 493GH @ 776W 0.63GH/W or 1.57W/GH that's very similar GH/W to the Hex16B except they're not as quiet! Right I'm gonna dial the clocks down and see if I can get close to 1GH/1W somewhere so I can run both on the same PSU. Then I'm gonna try and make them quiet!  |

The diff-to-one is 0 which is a wise move having in mind other boards connected Okay this is the result of underclocking to 200/870 both running on the same PSU now...  384.9GH for 434W measured at the wall. 0.89GH/W or 1.12W/GH One board is a fair bit weaker than the other. One is slightly warmer and they have different capacitors, although all flat ones. Time to try the quiet fans, I'm getting a headache!  |
