Is this update "mandatory"?
I mean my hex8 is working perfectly (more than 1 month now, no reboot at all, with default settings 260@1000 and almost no HW error), what will i gain with this update?

No tplink speed degradation over time

But the golden rule always is if it works do not touch it Wink

Well I still use GET WORK... I run BFGminer in with get work virtual devices so I have all mining on one device... And can see at once if anything is wrong... Was that done by you or cgminer team? I don't see anything at new cgminer announcement

cgminer abandoned getwork, same way they pulled the plug on GPU mining.

Where would you use getwork today?

DeepBit is still getwork only ... almost dead, because of that.
Ah yes, out of sight, out of mind because of it too. I wasn't even sure there was anywhere I could even test it to fix it.

Okay, fixed it in git.

Sadly today my Hex8 260 mhash stopped hashing. The bottom fan has stopped working, and i believe the chips are burned out. On the board is nothing bad to see, all is well.
The PSU give 12+ volt up, the board LED's (orange and green) lights all time. I have tryed other USB port, but no ones help. The RED lead dont glow up at all.
The devide should have to mine 1.5 more BTC.. but now its full loss! I payed for that 1545EUR. i would like a fully support for that.

Give it some time to rest 2-3 min without power
Then see if chips will be back?

If it has polyfuses (those brown tags that stick out) it might take more than few minutes I'd leave it unplugged overnight (some pop it in the fridge).

Your power supply probably went into emergency shutdown too. That usually requires the paper clip to be removed to reset that.
Some PSUs require something powered on the 5v line to stop them tripping into emergency mode. My ThermalTake 730W did.

Marto never said what the orange LED means, but I suspect it's a polyfuse error, my Hex8A1 with 2 detached polyfuses has orange LED, but still mines.

Usually it goes from Speedy to another courier depending on what country you live in. You can email speedy and they will tell you the new couriers tracking number.

Update:

Speedy shows the new tracking number is from DPD, 16602410119468.

I have tested all polyfuses and all working, no one is defected. The PSU give the 12 volt i have messed with multimeter. The 2 fans work too normaly. The board simple not hashing.
