Ok, the hardware is good. Then which cgminer version did you use & where you get from?

Did anybody try this cgminer for windows?  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=476970.msg5903836#msg5903836

it works to me but instead of getting 130Gh  I get 126Gh with the HEX8A1.

Hashrate will be differ based on hardware, so had variant is normal. It's not the software fault  Smiley

0.05% hw  in 5 hours of work. I think I've found the solution, so now I'm mining at 130Gh, it seems the windows program Hexminer handle the frecuency and voltage a bit different than the windows cgminer. I've been playing a bit with those parameters, and now the windows cgminer works perfect.  I like cgminer cause Cgwatcher monitor it very well.

I've done minor tests with the windows version of cgminer for technobit, basically to see that it's working, so it's interesting to get some feedback

Here is my cgminer.conf  with average hasrate of 133 Gh after 5 hours.  Feel free to use that config, so I will see some extra mining on my account.  Grin

Guy's
There are slight difference in a way how latest cgminer 0_3_2 shows your hash rate and hw error rate. The latest version is more accurate. So compare apples to apples.

Does this version have any influence/improvements for Hex8A1? Mine is running stable now with almost no hw errors, so I'm a bit hesitant to change a running system.

So then just stick to old version Wink
Yes it has some improvements especially if you are mining at higher difficulty
Set-dif-to-one 0
Probably pool rejects should be lower also
But as I said you can get slightly different numbers for GH and hw errors
At the end when you do compare the performance always watch your pool stats Wink

just measured the power draw at the wall (240V) for 4 x Technobit HEX8A1 - 260GHs Coincraft A1 units:

More pictures can be found here: http://imgur.com/a/mRbMZ#4w7cdKp

1730W = ~1000GHs
1730W / 4 = ~433W each (250GHs)

Code:
0: HEX8 0       : 270 1000/1009mV         | 777.0G / 262.8Gh/s
 1: HEX8 1       : 270 1000/1006mV         | 74.51G / 262.9Gh/s
 2: HEX8 2       : 270 1000/1006mV         | 354.7G / 255.4Gh/s
 3: HEX8 3       : 270 1000/ 999mV         | 266.6G / 275.5Gh/s

Happy mining Smiley

How hot are your devices? I feel like they are too hot. When I press my finger on the hottest part of the cooler, I cannot hold it for longer than ~15-20 seconds.

Same here, about 10 seconds.  I think that is normal. If you put your finger on the hotest part of a cpu, you get burned instantly.

Yeah sure! Sorry I was in hurry just dropped in the question.

So it's a Hex8A1 running directly from a TP-Link.

In the first few days it was runing fine, but the last 3 deays it keeps shuting down about every 5 hours and I have to switch it down and up to get it runing.

The boards stops working and I got this message from api log:

[Firmware Version] => 20140329
cgminer: 4_1_0_5ed45a0
Socket connect failed: Connection refused

Edit: Just ssh-d in. Cgminer starts but don't recognize the board.

My Hex16a1's are turning into zombi's again with this update. First 2 days everything was fine, now even after rebooting my TpLink I have to disconnect some usb cables and reconnect them, so I guess I'm going to downgrade my Hex16a1 TpLink 2 versions again...

Lsusb?
Try setting default to 8
Directly into tplink?

Use hub in between for sure
dmesg will show you a lot of usb errors. Tplink does not like slow usb devices Cry
Just put a usb hub in between that is all
You can do folowing
1. Throw away tplink power adaprter
2. Buy usb 2.0 powered hub
3. Throw away usb hub power adapter
4. Rib of the power jack of hub and connect it to your psu 5V - take power for the hub from PSU which you are using to power the miner
5. Connect both usb cables of tplink into that hub power and data
6. Plug in there your hex board
7. Forget  about issues;)

Strange but I'll give it a try!
