Just measured the power draw at the wall (240V) for 4 x Technobit HEX8A1 - 260GHs Coincraft A1 units:

Pictures can be found here: http://imgur.com/a/mRbMZ#4w7cdKp

1730W = ~1000GHs
1730W / 4 = ~433W each (250GHs)

Code:
0: HEX8 0       : 270 1000/1009mV         | 777.0G / 262.8Gh/s
 1: HEX8 1       : 270 1000/1006mV         | 74.51G / 262.9Gh/s
 2: HEX8 2       : 270 1000/1006mV         | 354.7G / 255.4Gh/s
 3: HEX8 3       : 270 1000/ 999mV         | 266.6G / 275.5Gh/s

How the heck is that possible?

That is overclocked at 1v, I assume, yes?
Consuming 1.7W/GH... That would cost me over $5000 a year, just to run it! In addition to the cost of the unit.
(Just thinking out-loud, observations, not complaining.)

Where the heck did you find a 1800W PSU?

Try underclocking them to 230/860 and run cgminer v4.2.3 and see if you can replicate Ioshas results on BTCGuild!
Apparently we all get the same boards and chips are random but that should get you pretty close to 1GH/W. You can run quieter fans then too. Wink

I do not remember you getting miners from us Wink
read carefully
it is 1W/GHs in standard mode
it is about 25 GHs per chip or 200 GHs per 8 chip board.
And just FYI the board design can change the power consumption in the range of 5-10%.
So it is the chip !

I have not gotten a miner from you yet... I had not said that I have...

I am aware of the A1's power consumption and levels. I was simply questioning HIS use, in the post.

Looking at the other post I quoted... Nor apparently does he have your miner... That is not your boards, that was the power draw of the avalon2 miners. Unless you guys make Avalon2 miners, and Avalon2's have A1's on them now. (I also see he has two separate PSU's... He made it look like only one PSU.)

I should have realized that was not the A1's, or, well, not your A1's... Not sure why he posted that here.

I came, because this version of the A1 boards are being offered by AMT, as a substitute for the boards they are having issues with. Wanted to get an idea of what I would be getting, before I told them to ship me my miner.. um.. your miner... xD

I am more interested in loshia's power consumption now, looking at his setup. Those are the normal operating voltages I am familiar with.

EDITED: He does have these miners... They are just further down the line in the photo's. That guy has every miner in existence, lol.

No shit isawhim  Wink
No seriously I will keep my promise and stop to "contribute" to amt thread anymore. poserkoto Zipkin deleted my post from amt thread of course. Opium2 will take care of it Grin
In general you will be able to get 1.2 the from 5 boards Technobit originals with real heatsinks. You need just a little bit of over clocking
We discussed so called psu issue and grounding if your remember?
Back to your questions yo are needing about 30-35 amps per board at 12 v to get 1.2 t the from 5 boards
As we know poserkoto Zipkin will not ship you six boards Grin
If I were you I would split my setup over two psu's with two tplinks
You are good with numbers so you are the one to decide. I will strongly suggest
1. To ask for refund from poserkoto Zipkin
2. Or eventually if you happen to get someday Technobit boards without amt engendering touch Grin
To run them in more relax manner on two psu's
Yeah an prepare about 700 usd for psu just in case

So out of curiosity the numbers achieved what settings were needed to get those?
What settings were required...and can they be sustained without burning out?
And are they recommended?

Thanks for answering the question, loshia I am not above giving credit where credit is due. I am asking because I have my own curiosity as well in this. AMT is not the only miner I own. And getting some other options is nice. Thanks again for the reply.

No seriously pay attention to amt heatsink and fans. Look at 2good review. Do whatever it takes to make poserkoto Zipkin use same or equal heatsinks and fans
First step for boards to work at all and to be overclocked

I will make a note of that. At any rate if they mess this up again for us its not going to be a good situation as they got a lawsuit against them as it is. I will make note of the heatsink issue tho. It would make alot of sense for them to put good heatsinks on both sides. What I looked at with 2goods is larger heatsinks with less fins to dissipate the heat. That method works but having more fins on it is a bit more efficient. Its not too far off from how CPU heatsinks work. Then just having a method to move the air rapidly off the heatsink.

That said I will make sure I ask about that as that is a DEFINITE concern. Thanks again.

Where the heck did you find a 1800W PSU?

Originally I used a 1300W (Antec HCP) and 1200W (Ax1200i) to run all 5 HEX8A1. When i sold 1 HEX8A1, I put 4 units on the 1300W psu. It didn't last long. Overnight i had to spread the power across both PSU again.

This is what my final config is and it returns min. HW erros with max GHs:
[09:17:35] <+QG> 0: HEX8 0       : 255  995/1007mV         | 239.8G / 260.8Gh/s
[09:17:35] <+QG>  1: HEX8 1       : 255  995/1000mV         | 255.1G / 259.8Gh/s
Power usage not recorded for this setting.

Cheers,
QG
