I was soloing and it looks like I'm on my own blockchain?! lol it was okay there for a while but now after the difficulty changed I started to find all the blocks, one after another. Anyhow. I'm out, this coin looks forked more than once. Good luck to you all.

A pool on launch was an incredibly stupid idea to begin with. When you have all hashing power coming from 1 centralized place, you undermine the entire concept of cryptocurrencies, and you end up with 5 pools mining their own 5 blockchains.

A cryptocurrency NEEDS the solominers in the beginning, to decentralize the blockchain. The chain needs to be spread by multiple solominers competing for the blocks all around the world. Not one pool writing its own blockchain.

Clearly OP had no idea wtf he was doing.

As someone that was solo mining dogecoin on opening day, I have to agree with this. All of these copycats (pun intended) are going to fail if they can't spread the wealth around at the beginning, that is what fuels the popularity. If its just a couple of GPU farmers just trying to find the next pump and dump coin dominating it, there's no motivation for people to promote it.

Cryptovalley and Catpool are both giving me 0/0 confirmed/unconfirmed even though I mined in each for about an hour. I think this coin is broken?

As I said before, I strongly doubt we're the only ones to get screwed by this coin.

Sorry it happened to you too.

So, the consensus seems to be that our (longer) chain is the bad fork.

We don't know how that happened; we just installed it from the dev's github when it was released.

Our sincere apologies to all who wasted time with this coin, and for our fork, even though it was done through no choice or act of our own. I strongly doubt we are, or will be, the only ones to face these issues.

We've burned too many hours on a poorly executed Litecoin copy that has no real value or exchange and so many inherent issues so early on, so we're not going to burn any more starting over.

Catcoin at Pool of Pools is dead.

Maybe your chain is right. No one of other pools checked their blockchains... And we have some troubles with them, 0/0 coins for more than 1 hour.

Some donate will be good))))))

Just wait for your balance recalculation, it will take approximatively 20 minutes, the program is currently giving proportional payouts to every user for the last 60,000 CATs found, just let it the time to work... You can continue mining, your shares are being saved.

If our chain turns out to be the good one, I guess the coins will be valid. If they are, we'll be sure you can withdraw them and use them for whatever Catcoins will be good for, which probably isn't much.

I don't really know. At this point, I don't much care.

You obviously do not understand what happened.

If the chain is forked, and we're on the bad fork, those coins are WORTHLESS. ALL OF THEM. So what good does it do us to "scam" them from anyone? That would be like stealing air from a public park, except the air would at least be good for something.

We have wasted 7 hours, tons of bandwidth, and many tons of frustration dealing with this pointless copycat coin. We have gained literally nothing from it, in any form of value or compensation.

So if you'd kindly shut up until you know what "scam" means, or at least until you understand who truly got screwed, and by whom, here, I'd appreciate it.

So the 676 coins I mined at your pool are lost?

As are all of the coins *I* mined there (2,426) and all the coins the pool collected as fees to offset the $320/month server costs.

As are the 7 hours we've spent setting up, running, and finally killing this sh*tty coin at our pool.

I didn't meant that it was a lot I was just wondering if all the coins were lost or just the ones after the fork, I know it's peanuts...
