Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Hi everyone,

I will give this coin a try Smiley but it seems already hard to mine. Can anybody tell me if its better solo mining or pool mining with 380kh/s? And any tip on a good pool please, sometimes there are performance differences. I try http://cat.mintpool.co/ now.

cheers,

too high already for solominng, try a pool , I recommend Coinium.org

150 Cat Coin Contest

Contest

Starting now to Wednesday (25.12.2013 - 00:01 AM GMT), mine within our Cat Coin pool to have a chance of winning 50 Cat coin. On wednesday, we'll be announcing winners for;

  • 3 x 50 Cat Coins (so basically 3 winners!).

How to join?

Just two simple steps;

1) Point your miners to our Cat Coin mining pool (register an account if you don't have one first) and mine during the time given above;

Cat Coin

Code:
STRATUM:	stratum+tcp://stratum.coinum.org
PORT: 3336
cgminer.exe     -o stratum+tcp://stratum.coinium.org:3336 -u WORKER.NAME -p WORKER_PASSWORD --scrypt -I 13

2) Post in our thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=377703 and tell the world you are mining at Coinium.org's Cat coin pool (or something about our service);

Quote
I'm mining in coinium.org's Cat Coin pool.

Notes

  • Your mining performance does not matter!
  • In your post, don't forget to state your username.
  • Winners will be choosen randomly using random.org

May this coin (or any coin by this admin in future) never succeed, I hereby curse from my heart.

I slept at 2:30AM and woke up at 4:30 AM (release time in my zone) to early mine only to see no sign of admin for TWO FUCKING HOURS. My whole day got wasted. Not to mention the inconvenience caused to pool owners who waited hours for this guy's directions. He didn't care to update the users in between that time even he did came online. (~.~ I can barely control myself from abusing you)

Then he announces the time finally 2 hours later to find out we have to wait even more before this selfish fucker premines (which he promised in the OP will be "ABSOLUTELY ZERO!").

Why announce the coin in first place when you know it's not ready?
No .conf info in OP, no pool list...they just don't care. All they care about is profits.

This will not go unseen and avoided, this is the biggest failure in the history of cryptos.
Crypto industry is not a joke.

The guys are so lazy that Litecoin logo appears when you start the wallet and in system tray.

Careless, selfish and opportunist guys like these deserve to fail in life.

Those who are trying to sell right now are likely undervaluing this coin immensely. Difficulty has been going up 4x each retarget. Looks like it will settle out somewhere north of 30.0. It is currently 4.0 and was 1.0 just an hour ago. Most of the coins that people have mined were made when diff was well below 1.0. It will soon become VERY difficult to mine CATs.

If you assume CAT is worth only 1/2 of DOGE and adjusting for maximum coins to be mined, CAT is worth well over $1USD each.

We need an exchange.
