I'd rather have the pre-sale sooner than later given the volatility of Bitcoin. I don't see an advantage to waiting, other than maybe BTC will increase.

The original plan was to IPO early, have an alpha period. The block chain would be reset every week until code base was stable. What happened, was everything was unit tested to death and launch was delayed until coin was completely finished. The sooner the launch, the better.

Well, you gotta give people heads up before launching the IPO. It's fair that way.. Or else, there will be many accusations of you benefiting your close friends and your inner circle, instead of a public offering. People need time to convert usd to bitcoin/dogecoin. Some exchanges take a few days before the credit shows up

I would never use an exchange where it takes several days for the credit to show up. Someone's making a lot of money from that float. There is no legitimate reason for a customer not to have immediate access to his funds. I took a risk buying Bitcoin to have on hand when the pre-sales started, and it has declined in value during the delays. I'd rather not risk further decline to crutch slow exchanges and those who want to purchase BTC right at the time of pre-sale. What this amounts to is me being made to assume more risk due to additional delay to reduce risk for someone else.

I do agree there should be a couple of days notice before the pre-sale. It should also let everyone buy in at the same rate during a set time period, .02% of total distribution per Bitcoin, no limit, instead of limiting to 50 BTC for 1%, which could go pretty fast.

Some people aren't fortunate enough to live in the United States, and our only legitimate alternative, would be to send a cheque through the mail and wait for it to arrive so that they can credit the funds. That's the case for people outside of the United States and if the Skycoin creator does want a distribution worldwide instead of centralized in the States, that's the rationale why. Vault of Satoshi is what I use and there's a bit of a delay.

In a world without net neutrality, we are all affected, regardless if we don't have Comcast or other ISPs serving us.

Extending distribution would be a good idea, but we need to see what Skycoin needs with our money, what are his plans and goals. It's the same lne of questioning that the Shark Tank entrepeneurs use when they ask for money. The ideas presented seem impressive, but we have no idea who is even behind Skycoin, what their goals are, etc.

You might want to try Localbitcoin and pay cash. I've never used an exchange to buy Bitcoin, but then I'm fortunate to live in an area where it is more common.

I have no grudges against the 1% cap.

However, it would be nice if devs can clarify about how are they going to distribute the rest 99% coin.

For one thing, in what way are you going to distribute the 0.1% per day, do you have a plan on this?
And since the marjority of coins will be in devs' hands in the following year (centralized), in what way can the outsiders know the distribution will going according to the plan(if the plan exists)? Further more, how are you going to guarantee those coins wouldn't be "lost" like Mt.Gox?

The question of which exchange you are planning to use comes into play as well. Many have their flaws and are seen as the Achilles heel

Anyway do not invest more than you can afford to lose !

I can see it coming :
some people invest blindly most of their wealth hopping to get rich quick
it doesn't work as great as announced
people panic sell
people lose a lot of money

It could even be a scam, you never know.

So please people don't be stupid, don't invest too much money.
