Hmm your friend must be lucky to have you as a friend that is willing to part with his cryptos asset to surprise him on his or her special day. That's thoughtful of you. If they both have the same fiat value presently, then it does t really matter which you keep for yourself. But personally, I would keep cardano to myself because I value it than ripple.

Don’t forget that no one here is an expert nor do they actually know what they are talking about. It is all just someone’s personal choice / opinion. Don’t take all info that is said on this website seriously.
In my opinion I would keep the Cardano, because I feel it has more chance of making you more money than ripple would.
I am in line with you that no body knows about what actually happen in the crypto it self, most of users just share their personal ideas and assumptions. It needs for us to have a critical thinking hearing and taking what somebody says. Do not directly take in our main that is good or worse. According to my friends opinion, I would like to keep Ripple which is better than Cardano because it has good goal and strategy reaching the future. Most of my friends say the same word. So, they really help me in making a decision. |

It's difficult to choose form both, because both has great potential and popularity in crypto world. Anyway, i'll choose cardano over ripple, the reason behind is- i think cardano has more potential than ripple. So i suggest you to gift Cardano to your friend and hold ripple for yourself.

None of them i will try to buy ADA rather than RIpple if there was only both of coins as the choices. But they are all failed projects and stellar can become the best alternative coin to buy or even ethereum. Cardano has no demand on its smartcontract and it's absolutely useless |

2,000 Ripple may not be that much compared to an amount like 5,000 Cardano. I would choose the one making the most money. |

I prefer cardano. Its potential is higher. Ripple doesn't hold much promise , especially in terms of prices.

A very easy choice dude! 5000 Cardano is an excellent stack to have. And you will be able to stake your ADA soon. I can envision 5k ADA valued at $50k within the next few years. |

As long as investment. I will buy 5000 ADA. ADA has their own project and is a potential big altcoin in the near future. ADA is being priced lower than what it actually has. The market is falling and trying to take advantage of that buy more ADA if possible
I agree, I also think that ada is underestimated. In general, I think that this crypto currency will surprise us all, with every decrease in it I buy it into an investment portfolio |

5000 Cardano anyday the coin might have not gained proper grip in the market just yet, but its showing some good potential in the market place, the red zone is currently affecting every coin but just for the time being Ripple is less of a crypto, the control its banking partners have over it makes it less attractive as a crypto coin, Just reason enough for me to chose any other coin apart from ripple
