One thing to keep in mind: using one central node as the reference for the checkpoints is the opposite of decentralization.
Maybe we should develop a better system to overcome 51% attacks? I'm still wondering, whether it would be a good idea to change from mining to staking in that regard (also if you think about protecting the environment, as mining pulls a lot of electricity)? What do you all here think about that? Any other ideas?

The problem with staking is that cryptousers and investors usually don't like and avoid stake coins.
PoS coins are often being called "pyramids".
People love idea of mining. Mining is one of important things that create value.
Moon is not PoS now and in my opinion it's great.
But we need a higher price to attract miners as block rewards now are only a fixed 29531 MOON.
Maybe to switch algo between mining and staking in future depending on network dynamics?

How Import private key?

Mooncoin QT only using the official ‘importprivkey’ function.

Decrypting your Mooncoin Paper Wallets
If you have encrypted your paper wallets you will need to decrypt them.
-       Go to www.walletgeneretor.com
-       Download the zip file
-       Load the offline page
-   Click on Tab named ‘Wallet Details’
-   Enter your private key, click view details
-   Enter your BIP38 passphrase, click ‘Decrypt BIP38’
-   Copy your encrypted private key which will appear below
 

Importing the decrypted key to Mooncoin QT

Backup your Mooncoin QT Wallet – Before you do anything, make a backup of your Mooncoin QT wallet.

Launch Mooncoin QT: Launch your Mooncoin-QT client in Offline Mode. This is more secure to import private keys. When the Mooncoin QT client is up, go to Help >> Debug window from the menu bar and then click on “Console ”.
Unlock your QT wallet if you encrypted it: If your wallet is encrypted you will need to unlock it first. If your Mooncoin QT wallet is not encrypted, just skip this step. To unlock your wallet, run the following command without quotes, where 600 stands for the seconds your wallet is unlocked.
wallet passphrase MYPASSWORD 600
 

Import the private key:   Now import your private key using following command without quotes
Importprivkey xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ‘label’ (if used label)
 
Be Patient:  Now just wait…three to six minutes while your private key is being imported to Mooncoin QT. Its possible Mooncoin QT may freeze up, if so just leave it 15 minutes and close it. Load Mooncoin QT up and you should see your newly imported address in the address book.

Taking off sell orders is not price manipulating.
Sometimes when there is a stock market crisis, government officially asks people not to sell their shares. Banks, they ask not to cancel deposits sometimes.

Moon now is still very underestimated, not in theory, but in fact, as its capitalization used to be higher than 4 mln USD (with supply 24 bln MOON only then) https://web.archive.org/web/20140125114041/http://coinmarketcap.com/
Current market cap is about $150,000.  

So even better would be to set sell moratorium till market cap is $4 mln again. I think we all would be surprised at how fast price could grow if people just didn't sell soon after they had bought and had seen 10-15% profit. But it's impossible because people fear and want quick money even if this money is just few dollars.
I think even 72 hour sell moratorium not all people would withstand, as an experiment, that's interesting, even just to test yourself.
