Bitmain will not be worried, many other places he can sell. I think he will most likely ask Sushi to move his stock at low price soon.
The amount of BTC in his account is CRAZZZYYYY!
Plus over 3000 Sales on TaoBao... I see a very rich company now
As long as the CCP doesn't throw them in jail for tax evasion, they'll do fine!

As long as the CCP doesn't throw them in jail for tax evasion, they'll do fine! Correct, China government are not so pleased about Bitcoin. We can only hope Sushi and Bitmain work together to keep bringing good service and good price. They must have some size of team at Bitmain HQ to ship 3000 units within 5 days plus all of Sushi's orders have to take my hats off to them they must have an army of workers. Would be good to see a revist to factory where they are made to see hardware porn again. I hope the next 28nm or 20nm device they launch will kick some ass.

Why on earth do you think the government would allow them to continue making these products in China? CCP already pressured TaoBao, a company that already dwarfs the size of eBay, to close bitcoin related sales, why would they stop there? This looks like a big crackdown...

The Chinese red commie government will continue to allow manufacturing of asic miners, simply because the factories employ workers and pay taxes and keeps the mass happy (relatively speaking). Most of the asic miners get sold abroad anyway. Why stop the gravy train? It doesn't affect the banks or financial institutions, except make them rich. That is the bottom line for the party bosses.

Anyone know how many of these can go on a normal 110v 15a circuit? Not sure if it is worth wiring another circuit in my apt building to buy bulk next time.

Mine use about 370W stock or 410W overclocked from the wall measured with a Kill-a-watt. So you should be able to get 3 on a 15A circuit with no other loads. I wouldn't do 4! (but 4 would fit fine on a 20A!) Source: I wired in 5-20A circuits and have the 2.2TH of Fury & ANTs running....

A 110v 15a circuit can handle ~1320 watts. 110v*15a = 1650w * .8 (a circuit shouldn't run over 80% of its rate capacity) = 1320 W. Each Antminer consumes ~400w, so you can run 3 per circuit.

Is anyone else bummed that this group buy closed after 193 sales?
There would have been another raffle for a free Antminer if it hit 200 sales.

Thanks much! So if I'm looking for 10 on the next buy, I'll need at least 2 more 20A installed. That's going to be fun to pitch to my landlord.

Oh, no! I will not drag it that long! If it doesn't meet 100 raffles, the winner will be announced before the shipping date!!! Will the raffle continue after the ship date if it does not reach 100? Or will everyone be refunded.
Edit: Not sure if that applies to the 200 mark raffle, but it at least was for the raffle tix.

[quote author=dogjunior link=topic=392860.msg4370599#msg4370599 date=1389119660 It's called game theory. The more you can convince people not to buy miners with the genesis block the slower difficulty goes up. Those that have miners make more BTC and they tell you to buy BTC instead which then drives prices up. [/quote]Thats certainly not my motivation, enough to the point that I put my money where my mouth is offering to sell the income stream from some of the overpriced hardware: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=395243.0I might be willing to sell the income of an antminer for 3 BTC, though the ships-now is more attractive.

Mine went through the same thing. It was entered for clearing and released about 5 hours later. Seems to be a standard part of the process. (shipping to Philadelphia, PA)
