Is there any truth to this?  Because I looked and there was a recent spike like someone was buying a quantity. 

I only ask because I'm a Microsoft guy.  I have no investment in Counterparty but am interested if Microsoft is getting involved.  I have a stake in Stratis as well.  Anything Microsoft interests me.

Microsoft could care less about Counter-WhateverCoin. If Microsoft wanted to incorporate blockchain technology they would start with their own blockchain.

If it is as you say, I can say that this is a very good collaboration between the counterparty and augmentors, in this case, will benefit both sides. But in any case XCP itself an excellent coin, which can very quickly gain a good price again

It has to be priced in, so it will be the same result both ways.

I forecast that the ICO will collect 1444.80 BTC in total, so there is about 45% left to go.

And at current market depth, with half of that used as buy pressure (since you need 2x of that to break the status quo) that is 323.9 BTC buy pressure.

Which at current market depth can shoot up the price to  0.0067 BTC until the ICO ends.

XCP has a heavy buy pressure on Poloniex, I believe the price can skyrocket anytime now to 0.005, it's just a question of time!

Qtum is taking Bitcoin Core 0.13, integrating the Ethereum Virtual Machine, and adding an "Account Abstraction Layer" so that existing Etheruem contracts will work on Qtum with minimal changes.

Counterparty could be competing with Qtum.

Why arn't they doing this.

I want an answer from the devs.

P.s For your information, i am a XCP holder/big supporter since ICO & i want us to compete with them !!! Devs Why are we not doing this !!!

As a big supporter of XCP so you are aware of the following announcement that was made several months ago:

"After much consideration, the Counterparty Foundation has decided the responsible route forward for Counterparty is to NOT merge the ‘evmparty’ branch into master at this time. We can re-evaluate the decision in the future when there is additional community and developer support for the EVM on Counterparty."
