Maybe I should stop mentioning XCP in main NXT thread... This price seems a bit too high for now. Slow and steady will be much better than rollercoaster. We need more people invested in XCP

http://www.blockscan.com/order_match.aspx?q=3137Someone ignored all the cheaper offers and bought 0.41 XCP for .0082 BTC (0.02 BTC/XCP) Looks like someone made that trade to manipulate the "Last DEX Matched Price" on the blockscan.com homepage. I guess this is the issue with adding to coinmarketcap.com right now. People will just keep buying fractions of XCP @ 6 BTC/XCP so Counterparty will be listed as #1 by market cap. People kept trolling coinmarketcap.com in this manner when DOGE was first listed. It was actually pretty funny.

I have a tutorial (non-tech guy) in Chinese w/ pictures here: https://forums.counterparty.co/index.php/topic,48.0.htmlYou can use goolge translation to go through. If there is large demand of this kind of tutorial, I can translate it in English.

Hopefully, the GUI client will have the ability to buy and sell on the DEX. That should help stabilise the price.

I am confused. Does the exchange ensures the lowest asks will be filled first? If not, it's quite counter-intuitive. Previously, dgex, the Nxt exchange also did not ensure this and it's quite easy for people to manipulate the price.

There is almost no liquidity at the moment and the prices can be easily manipulated. Please take note that the prices on blockscan are based on order_matches data and does not necessarily mean it has been settled. There is no api at the moment to get an accurate figure and I am trying to see how best to pull the data out from the db. Once the official web client is out I will work at this again because I will at least have reference data to work with

People kept trolling coinmarketcap.com in this manner when DOGE was first listed. It was actually pretty funny. This is kind of strange behavior. counterpartyd is supposed to check the order book and find the best price to match. It looks like the original order was to buy 0.0001 XCP for 0.0082 BTC: http://blockscan.com/order.aspx?q=3276 His price was improved to 0.41 XCP for 0.0082 BTC, but there were better prices available on the market. For example, this order: http://blockscan.com/tx.aspx?q=3261. Potential bug? This buyer also failed to pay for his order. Perhaps the blockscan price should be the last Valid/Paid order instead of the last order match? This will mitigate the "price trolling" problem somewhat. I haven't looked at that example, one also has to take fee_required and fee_provided into consideration.

counterpartyd matches orders based on the best available price, yes, if the fee conditions are satisfied.

It's enough! If you want more, buy some XCPs in the market is still a good choice.Good luck.

News of the success of Counterparty has reached the internet cafe's in Abuja. Prince 'Darbsllim' just sent me this message: I'm reaching out to you because I saw you were an early investor in Counterparty. There have been some astounding investment opportunities since altcoins blew up on Nov 21 2013. I'm part of a private mastermind group of market makers … We are full time investors & traders we’ve been in bitcoin since 2010. We do research on coins and perform group buys and pre-orders on alts that we think will give us minimum 10X returns on the bitcoin we invest. Our prime directive is to make good trades. Since you’ve invested in coin launches before, you see the value of getting into a coin early, which is why I'm reaching out about DUCK. It's currently doing a PMS (lol stands for pre market sale) where 17% of the coin is being sold IPO style. Over 40 BTC raised in a couple days, on track to be another stellar 1000% return trade for us. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=448221.0 or check www.duckduckcoin.com for the IPO counter. Our group is invested in this, as well as ethererum, bitshares, NXT, NEM, mastercoin and counterparty. We know the devs of DUCK, we meet them at the bitcoin conferences and we organize on skype. The DUCK devs are choosing to remain anonymous, but they are behind some of the best coin launches that have already given us amazing returns in Nov, Dec & Jan so far Smiley The devs premined 3% of this coin to give away to the community as well, so if you know anyone who wants to take a senior role in a coin that has some traction, they are paying in DUCK and bitcoin. If investing in good trades like this is something that you're interested in doing more often, for at least 1 bitcoin per trade - lets connect on skype. We are always adding more full time traders into our skype mastermind group. Looking forward to hearing from you, and here’s to a profitable DUCK trade if nothing else. Brad PS Do you know any coin devs, and do you have any good trade recommendations for me? PSS Here’s a list of our top performers to give you an idea of some of the amazing returns our group of investors has been involved in, which has made us 200% per month on average. Nov: PeerCoin, Feathercoin, Namecoin, PrimeCoin & XRP. Dec: Sexcoin, DOGE & Quark, GalaxyCoin, Noirbits, ProtoShares, WorldCoin, AnonCoin, UNO, HoboNickels. Jan: EarthCoin, NXT, TIPS, MOON, Ron Paul Coin, 42, CAT. Feb: Counterparty, VERT, AstroCoin. We expect good returns this month on LEAF, MEOW, DUCK, CASH, and a few others that haven't yet done their 10X. Why not quote some kind of moving average that takes volume into account instead? Or else filter out these very low volume threads and add a note to that effect. Or both. -rotalumis
