FYI I think there was a breach at pool.coinye.pw

For a period of time I couldn't log in to the dashboard (web interface) but my miner didn't disconnect so I let it run overnight.
When I woke up this morning, I found that there was no new coinye that was added to my account. Instead, it all went to an account:

5Zg7dVfX...urRUhSLM

I don't know how long this happened for or anything, but everyone on that pool should definitely double check their account settings.

Use coye.dedicatedpool.com, they have a good support and really business approach.

Can anyone else confirm that this happened to them as well? Not sure if I should be concerned that this was a breach specifically at my network (and thus change all my passwords etc.) or if it's just the pool that got breached.

Edit: THe full address that all the hacked coins went to is 5Zg7dVfXXkH2ahvZJDTxRtoMt2urRUhSLM

I just checked and my account was ok, but I noticed also a message on that pool, that says it will close in 48 hours and that you have to withdraw your coins.

Did you use same password/login id at diff pools. Either your id/password was stolen at some other pool  or it might be this pool as well

Yeah I'm going to change my password for coinye, it's likely it was probably stolen from another pool (too lazy to use a different password for every one of the 50 pools I mine from....) I'll just change it for all of them now.

Therefore I use KeePass. It's way too unsecure to use weak or similar passwords on the internet.

But don't just change them, make them ALL different from each other in some way.

mining question; While mining, i have GPU-z opened up. I can see that the amount of "Memory Usage Dedicated" is 523 MB. My graphics card has 1024 mb on board.  Is there some setting in CGminer where i can tell the GPU to use all its memory? Does this have to do with the --thread-concurrency setting? The amount of RAM in use by my PC while CGminer is running is also around that 523 MB mark..
Any clues how to improve mining? I'm running a stable 263 KH/s on a 5830 card. here's my current config.

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer --scrypt -I 18 --thread-concurrency 9000 -o west1.us.stratum.dedicatedpool.com:3356 -u whatever.1 -p 1 --gpu-fan 40-99

try change thread-concurrency 11200, your gpu has a vliw 5 design, normal it is then 5  x amount of shaders, which is for the 5830, 1120 shader cores, times 5  is 5600, double that and you get 11200. I did the same for my 6970 (which has a vliw4 design) and lowered the Intensity to 16. have now better results then with lower thread-concurrency and higher intensity. memory use in GPU-Z shows 1 Gb for my gpu.
Thanks, that does seem to make a different when it comes to memory, now using 711 MB with   -i 16 --thread-concurrency 11200
but the hashrate is a bit lower, maybe that has to do with intensity

You can always try to up the Intensity a little more till you have good results, you had it before at 18, try 17 if that works for you.
