I'm still going to mine this coin just on principle.  I have 810K and I'm going to get to 1 MIL just so I can say I'm a COINYE Millionare!

The pool I was on before closed without warning (http://www.coinyapool.com) which was a shame as they never had a problem during the entire launch.

I've now switched over to https://coye.pool.pm/ and am testing the waters to see if I can actually complete my goal.

I'm not complaining as I got a few LTC and some DOGE early on trading for this coin which was very easy to acquire just using my gaming rigs.

Quoting myself for context...

Well, I mined on https://coye.pool.pm/ for over 12 hours and have nothing to show for it.  IRC appears to be all their pools together with different coins so questions about the coinye pool fell on deaf ears.  I don't have a ton of mining power, only 1.9MH, but I can't waste time on pools that either don't work, or will never confirm.

If any of you can verify that a pool is actually paying out I'll jump over there otherwise it's back to ltc and hypernova for me.

You can join http://pool.coinye.pw/ - we currently have over 230 people mining as of right now. Confirmations are taking time but they will confirm. The slowness is simply due to everyone jumping ship so everything is a lot slower, but they will confirm.

The network hash is 1/10 of what it was before.
If your pool requires 50 confirms to credit you with your coins, you will have to wait 13 minutes 41 seconds (avg time per round) * 50 / 60 = 11.402 hours.
Time to retarget = 13 minutes 41 seconds (avg time per round) * 104 (no. of blocks remaining) / 60 = 23.21 hours to go.

It has nothing to do with the pool, and everything to do with the network in it's current state.

Who wants to help test my pool? :x

Damn, I suspected that was the issue, but I couldn't get anyone to reply to questions in the pools irc channel.

Anyone know if the pool will credit me for the time spent?  Not sure how that works with me no longer having any active workers over there.

Maybe I'll just trade for the 200K I need to make up the Mil.  Doge for Coinye anyone?

I just bought 36K Coinye for 1K Doge on reddit, have another offer pending for 64K Coinye for 2K doge.   I don't know if that is good or bad....  Personally I think that is high given the risk at this point.

When I was mining Coinye I would pull in about 20-30K every 4 hours.  If I switched to Doge with the same hash rate I would get about 1K to 2K every 4 hours.

I don't have a ton of Doge, so I can only offer 1K doge for 40K Coinye right now.

I'm looking to trade 160K coinye for 4K doge.  Could go to 4.5K Doge if need be.

Why didn't these devs choose names which cannot be trademarked.  There's plenty.

For example:

Icecube.

IceT(ea)

Scorpions

Beatles

And there's many more.  These are household names and so you can launch a coin with their name just not the image of the artist.  They'd never win in court.

If anyone needs the domain names for any of the above let me know (PM ME), I've got them.  Personalized coins for the already rich and famous are coming this year so why not get in ahead of them for once.

You should update that pool list to ones that actually work.
