There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Coinye is up
exchanges are on their way
support!
Coinye is up - ok, a few pools are live, wallet is synched
Exchanges are on their way - how do you know? You're doing those? "https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=417353.new#new" at the first topic isn't exchange, http://coinye-exchange.com/ the link is dead and no even a temporary page

I've noticed that you said you still mine with some hashpower... That is more than enough for now, so thank you for the support!
No, I'm not mining on COYE now at all. Even it's be on 5 diff, think I wont. YEs, thats cool, get millions coin for a couple an hours, but with no exchange, with bad bad bad reputation of the coin, which is already like a shade above, it doesnt make any sense

It's not few pools, after the blackout because of the lawsuit we still have more pools up and running then many other currencies on cryptsy (and much older currencies btw). You cannot expect the exchanges to rise up like mushrooms since the situation is as is... Yes, coinye-exchange.com is dead and will remain dead... There was a post earlier in the thread that has a link to announcement of the two upcoming exchanges. I'm not working on either of them, but I do have people that are willing to help with frontend if it's needed (I'm not a web developer unfortunately, my expertise is on another platform so there is not much I can do about development). Of course, you need to understand that we do need somebody with balls to host the exchange, and I know there are people with balls Smiley. Also, Keyser announced that one exchange is coming soon (4 days) and I do believe him (have my own reasons for that, I don't know the guy...). Also, my beliefs are backed by existence of new official website.. If website is up and running, no need to question existence of new exchanges... It's just matter of time... Maybe it will be in a week, maybe in a month, but there will be exchanges and this coin is going up...

If you don't believe in coin, I would gladly buy coinye from you @1 satoshi, but I'm paying in doge with current cryptsy doge/btc rate. Note that nobody sent any requests to me for trade at that price...

And just to be clear, I don't have tons of millions of COYE, I'm left with 4 000 000 COYE after giving away 1 000 000. Of course, I continue to mine with all of my hash power...

Hi, my config:
Also keep in mind that when you have at least 1 connection to the network and it says "Out of sync" you can actually see it syncing in the background by clicking "Help --> Debug". There you can see exactly what block your client is at. My wallet is working just fine.

i tell you what will happen. more and more people are stopping to mine coinye because its not profitable anymore compared to other coins(like doge for example), so the nethashrate is dropping. maybe in a few days the lower difficulty (by then 2 or so, maybe a little more, maybe a little less) will unlock, then suddenly you will get alot more coinyes, hundreds if not thousands of miners are just waiting for this moment to get a few blocks quickly, the network hashrate will go up tremendously, like spiking to some gigahash (maybe 5 or 10?) this will make the next difficulty unlock very fast, back to like 50, then all those guys who mined alot of coinye in a short amount of time will go back again to doge, and doge will be left with 200 megahash with some weeks or months until the lower difficulty is unlocked again, because again the network hashrate will be slowly receding as more and more people stop to mine coinye. well maybe some miracle happens and suddenly it gets interesting again for miners, but as of right now it doesn't look that way. we dont even know when the lower difficulty will unlock...as more and more people realize they will get alot more coinye then for a shorter period of mining, and could mine some other coins until this happens, the network hashrate will drop, and it takes even longer for the lower difficulty to unlock. but noone really knows. maybe the rest of the network are persistent guys and even make it in a day.

you can thank me later for pointing out the obvious.

@coinyewest

Please remove this pool http://coye.hackshard.com/ from your "Pool List #1" on the new website as they have shut down.

Also http://coye.united-miners.com/ will be closing in the next few hours so they should be removed.

People need to stop with the ridiculous offers. No, it's not worth 1 satoshi or less and no it's not worth 50 satoshis either. It seems that the only successful trades I'm hearing are those in the 9-15 satoshi range. Can we please have realistic offers on both sides so that we can actually have trades occur?

When this coin gets out of underground doge will not matter anymore because coinye will be the new leader... And also, hash rate before the lawsuit was 4ghs and it went down to 0.5 in one day because everyone was scared and thought the coin is going down...  As I already said before to all of you who want this coin dead, if this coin dies, what do you think will be the reason of it? yes, it's gonna die because it has no support, but in the media this coin will stop existing because KANYE STOPED IT. And if one person can kill any of the crypto currencies what do you think how will that reflect on the cryptocurrency world in global? The whole purpose of bitcoin (among many others) is exactly that it CANNOT be shut down by any means! Yes, if coinye dies, everything that crypto world managed to do last year (popularisation) can be thrown in the garbage...

@atheistftwins yes, people do need to be more realistic but then again it is only their choice for which price they will buy or sell.. I'm offering to buy for 1 satoshi just so I can prove to people that nobody will sell at 1 satoshi beacuse it's ridiculous...

Ok, I'll try that in order to learn how to mine solo. Think this is a good case to get some skills about it. If whole Coye Net around 250Mh, I'll be 1/10 of it

Guys, help please, how to setup cgminer for particulary COYE solo mining? Thank you

It's only the difficulty that matters. Until you retarget, you will still effectively be mining against 2.5GH/s equivalent of people in terms of how often you find a block. Though practice for mining solo is good. Here's what you need to do:

Go to the config file in the data folder, located in %appdata% for windows.
Add this line:
rcpallowip = localhost

change rpcuser = [your miner username]
change rpcpassword = [your miner password]

You'll also need to add a line rpcport = [I'm not sure on this one, anyone solo mining know the port for coinye?]

Then in your cgminer config, set your miner to mine at ip "localhost:[setting for rpcport]
set username to the one in rpcuser
set password to the one in rpcpassword

Then just mine as you would in a pool.

Good luck!

Believe it or not, I can't help you with that cause I myself don't know how to do it Cheesy
Also, bear in mind that the difficulty is huge at the moment so solo mining want do you real good...
It will retarget in 75 blocks, unfortunately after the retarget it won't be 250 mhs any more. Probably more close to 5 ghs..

Just put %AppData%\CoinyeCoin path in Windows Explorer and you should find config file there.

If you installed coinyecoin wallet on C drive then it should be at: C:/users/yourcomputernameorusername/appdata/roaming/CoinyeCoin
If conf file doesn't exist create one (create txt file then change the extension to conf and name the file CoinyeCoin... so CoinyeCoin.conf should be the file.)

Here is how my conf for fastcoin looked like with my only solo mine try way back:
