The devs are just dumb copy-pasters! Sell all your coins at 1 satoshi - great dump already in progress!
UPD. Only 25 bitcoins of 50 left at mintpal.
0.00000001----25 BTC

This is why that happen: Coin is not broken, but it is not correct if there need to be count down for 0.01 steps: else if(nHeight >= 310000) // Decreasing block size, slowing down with -0.01 steps. ** Blocks: 310001 - rest { nSubsidy = (310000 - ((nHeight - 310000) * 0.01)) * COIN; if (nSubsidy <= 1000) nSubsidy = 1000; // Actually it count down correct but not from 10,000coins, but from 310000 coins.

That's pretty clear. But the problem is not broken coin or not, reward is 30 times higher, so price will be around 30 times lower. 22 btc left.

We can make hard fork with right code. How about if we drop block reward stable 1,000 for rest of life as many asking?

+1 Seems 24 billions number of coins is enough excessive amount for circulation.

That means we have an unwanted dilution of 300.000 coins every 32 seconds, about 810 MILLION coins every day this is not fixed. The question is and was: How and WHEN will this be fixed.

It isn't (in my opinion) a good idea (as it just advantage big bag holders) May-be once alcurex will be in business so there will be more incentive on mining MRC. But for now it is too early and will scare away the small miners (and those having already large amount, won't see any interest in keeping mining for practically no reward). Doing this will kill either the coin or the network (or both) It should decrease gradually (as planed) to 1000

1/ nSubsidy = (10000 - ((nHeight - 10000) * 0.01)) * COIN; if we keep 10K reward 2/ nSubsidy = (1000 - ((nHeight - 1000) * 0.01)) * COIN; if we make it 1K reward You guys confirm ?

What if we make reward 10,000 descending by 0.1 or 0.05 every block and not 0.01 until we reach 1,000?
