There's now scrypt boards out in the wild now? If so then GPU mining will be worthless.
Roulle - u know the name of the board or equipment?
I think you're talking about ASIC's for scrypt, those are the same thing that they use to mine Bitcoin. They're starting to come out, but I'm not too worried, for one, I've got enough Nutcoins that if they do jump on it, they're only going to help me out by putting coins out there for people to use, aside from that, there are a lot of now coins that are ASIC resistant that will continue to be mined with GPU's. There is some pretty exciting news on the GPU front that I'm also looking forward to, nVidia is supposed to be launching more of their Maxwell line, the 800 series GPU's yet this year and if the GTX750 and GTX750Ti are any indication of what is in store for their bigger brothers, I'm very excited, because the GTX750Ti only uses about 60 watts @ 300-350Kh/s. Also GPU's will have a much greater resale value once they become obsolete for mining than the ASIC miners will, because they will still be GPU's capable of playing games. We're a long way from being sunk yet. What might become a bigger threat is big corporate money getting into the game, big enough to build mining farms like nobody has seen yet. Don't panic yet, I still believe that cryptos are in their infancy and if we keep our eyes, ears and most importantly, our minds open, there's going to be opportunities to be had.

Just started mining some Nuts yesterday afternoon. Pulling ~2Mh/s
nom nom nom
If nothing more, just mine 11 million coins, keep 10 for yourself and give one to somebody you care about. Put them away and hold them for a few years and let's see what happens. In the meantime, some of us will keep working to see if we can't get this coin to roll. Oh sure .. just 10 Mill.... Iam so far from that and Ive been here a while..... Still debating on with way to jump with new equip... I just mentioned them in my previous post, and I don't know what equipment you already have, but you might want to look into the nVidia GTX750 or 750Ti cards, from a power usage standpoint, they're the best and mining is all about the most work with the least electrical usage. I'm just saying they're one option that should be seriously considered.

I'll report back with what hashrate I'm getting out of it once it's installed.

I'll need some help finding the right settings as this'll be my first venture into GPU mining, and the first time I've used cudaminer. Been toughing it out with CPUs as you know so it'll be great to finally get some proper hashrate lol.

If you are using the Bitember pool to mine your Nutcoins, it seems they've been suffering DDoS attacks on their site and have taken the front end down, but mining and payouts are continuing normally. I was in touch and informed on the IRC pool chat room this morning.

Just keep in mind......
"NutCoin is faster than all other available crypto-currencies, it's secure, and has enough supply of coins to feed the entire planet for the next 15 years. We design it to challenge the US Dollar by 2024, the main reason we created NutCoin."
Planet is hungry and the Dev is on a very long term plan.....

Yeah, the subject of needing a more communicative dev has been discussed at length on previous pages lol, he's obviously doing a lot of work behind the scenes and this is a long-term project. Lets just see what Ep 4 brings on 1st April. Personally I have high hopes . Preliminary report of my 750ti is it's mining at around 288kh/s at stock with no overclocking and no custom settings on cudaminer - pretty good I reckon. Will be posting in that thread you pointed me at Roulette to help get my cudaminer settings right and experimenting with overclocking in the coming days. Nice to be getting a proper hashrate finally! (and i'll be pointing some more of it at NUT too - nice to see the NUTs flowing so fast after being stuck with 30kh/s with CPUs for so long )

We're not dead, just quietly mining away until the time we have an overwhelming number of coins to be distributed. I think at the moment, our greatest strength might be in our anonymity and the fact that nobody is intentionally trying to kill us like they seem to be doing with some of these other coins. We are alive and the dev is due to unveil the next chapter for this coin on Tuesday. Bitcoin wasn't built in a day and neither will be any other successful coin.
