Precautions : Altcoins are risky when they are in the ICO phase. So if you are not sure about the project then you dont have to take the risk of investing into it during the ICO sale.
Moderate Risk : You can aways have risk anytime in the crypto currency so if you want to avoid the risk then this is the level you always have to face anyway. This can be done by investing into altcoins which are already listed on the exchanger and they are having good volume.
Usually such altcoin can be found within Top 100 who keep receiving daily volume thus making the project practically alive!
Few suggestions for you to get started :
IOST, ETH, XRP, TRX, XVG, and SCL.

Smart decision will be the most important toll in having this kind of investment. Even though we invest the tough altcoins in the market but there is no guarantees of having a 100% in returns. In that case, we should also to work for it and not just letting it in the market and wait for gains.

it may be better if you do research in advance which coin is right for your investment purpose and it would be better if investing not only fixated in 1 altcoin and i advise not to forget bitcoin as an investment destination because bitcoin has good potential for long term investment. |

Great points. I agree with you. People need to realize how volatile this market truly is. They should be willing to lose their money to avoid any sort of problems in the future. I would suggest Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple and NEO as the best low risk coins with huge potential to grow in the long term. Cardano, DENT, EOS, IOST seem like great high risk altcoins with great potential to grow in the short term. |

Monitor in advance which coins have good potential, then immediately invest do not wait until the price is high. better you buy when the price is cheap and sell when the market price is high.

if I make my choice of investing it is very simple, I just pick a coin that already has a very good potential that until now many people are investing in it, the coins are Bitcoin and Ethereum, I prefer both to make a period time investment long. |

Before investing, I think you should try to learn more about technical and fundmental analysis on the history of Crypto and of course the basics of trading, you can see youtube and google it will be your basic thing that you can use to guide you before investing to be better in the future. ethereum is still a favorite for most people and a good choice for you to get started.

Seems general advice mate. Let me clarify it better. If want to invest on altcoins check the coinmarketcap and pick your favourite coins in the rank 1 to 50 first. Then you check how much potentially it is reached to its own peak value. And then wherever it has been fluctuating more mate. Whenever these potential altcoins has been dumped then you can invest your fund on that coin more. |
