up to 6 months should reach LTC
because
VTC is still better than the LTC

It's been 6 months?
Time Is it right? Too long?
I hate waiting
 Sad Sad

But you have to wait, no coin rise in a month or a day.

i wish i had switched to mining vert back when i first saw this thread. i knew it had potential i just didn't want to modify my mining rigs. anyhow, the coin i'm mining now, fluttercoin, the block reward is gonna start decreasing rapidly and i want to switch to vertcoin. can someone point me to a thread on how to mine vert using a vert bamt? i know it's out there, but i can't find it, and it's not in the OP. thanks.

There is a BAMT 1.5 and 1.6 that are modified for Vertcoin. You should be able to google the reddit post. Just make sure you don't panic, like I did, if it crashes after a few minutes while using your 'normal' Scrypt configuration.

I have a 3 R9 290 rig that would mine fine until it would randomly crash/cap memclock at 300/require restart/etc.

I figured out I needed to lower my TC, and change 1000/1500(engine/mem) to 950/1500. It could be very different for you. Also, understand that VTC mining hashes at about half the rate. So aspire your configurations for half of 'normal' Scrypt's potential. Maybe a little lower than half for stability/less rejects.

If the BAMT code supports Vertcoin, will it support other Scrypt-N coins as well or only Vertcoin?

If the BAMT code supports Vertcoin, will it support other Scrypt-N coins as well or only Vertcoin?

Depends on the miner that comes bundled with it.

I'd reccomend BAMT 1.6 or PiMP (getpimp.org) for vertcoin mining.
It comes with the latest sgminer that supports N factor changes, and it's a 64bit OS, so you can use 8gb of ram for higher thread-concurrency values.

FYI - After installing the new version of the wallet, Symantec flagged the 'uninstall.exe' as a Trojan and deleted it. I'm not worried about it, probably just a false positive, but thought I would mention it.

Thanks for mentioning it - please could you (as a symantec user) report it to them as a false positive - haven't heard any reports of similar in the past (and nothing has changed in the uninstaller).

Done.  Cool

I agree that this hasnt happened with the previous wallet versions. Thank you for the quick wallet update, Boris!

Symantec removed the uninstall.exe virus flag, yay!
