are there any plans in the near future about price fixing of digibyte

I would hate it if I buy some intel cpu for a million digibyte but the very next day I could have bought it for 700K

that is the biggest problem with any cryptocurrency , the value of any coin is uncertain

.. As is with any other good or currency.
Look at Gold price, for example, went from 1800 to 1100.
It's unregulated market, no central authority, no regulation by anyone. Just pure demand/supply based on utility and/or psychological reasons.

you can`t compare cryptocurrency with gold just because of the limited supply,

I want my coins to have the same value tomorrow or next week , if it changes all the time then no one will use it ,

I remember back in december last year I could buy a cpu, motherboard, ram and a graphic card for just 1BTC , today you can buy just a decent cpu.

Any cryptocurrency fully implementing transaction mixers, or anonymous transactions will undoubtedly bring down the regulatory wrath of most authorities worldwide.

As we stated above we are not opposed to the idea of completely anonymous transactions, but why shoot ourselves in the foot when regulators, bankers and more are now opening up to real the potential the blockchain offers. We are seeking the path of least resistance.

That is absolutely the correct stance to take. Let all current anon coins go down that route and they might be successful to a point but will never be 'mainstream'. Thinking about what bankers and regulators will be looking for is a very smart strategy going forward.

Anon might have some uses but a coin which seriously want to go mainstream can't have that features right now. Maybe in the future when digital currency will be widly accepted but right now, people don't know what it is.

I'm not sure about that, in the end everyone wants some anonymity. Public ledger based cryptos with no obfuscation tech are NOT like bank accounts, anyone can see how much money you have, and, unless you're very careful, can easily locate where you use the money from.

That's not funny if you plan to keep all your money in cryptos. "Hey ho, I have ***** $ in cash at home, but don't rob me plz".

ofc a real anon coin (wonder if any one really exists) would prevent even govt agencies from finding/tracking citizens' financial movements. And these guys don't really like the idea.

In the end all products have their strategy, and if digibyte's partners are against anon blockchain, so be it.

DigiByte should be added to Bitspark, which will probably replace Bittrex soon.

If anyone can mock up a design I can put it into action. My graphic design skillz suck.

In what program you need the design in?

Not sure if this has been asked already but how did the investment work? Did you guys sell $250,000 worth of DGB to this angel investor? How many percentage of DGB did he buy with that 250,000? How will he be paid back? Or are you guys along with tofugear formed another company developing tech n services for DGB and the investment is actually for the company instead of DGB itself?

It's sad to see people fudding without any reasons or proofs.

It's the "Non Participation Syndrome" People see others having fun or, making money and they do whatever it takes to try to stop them because they feel injured but can't or won't bring themselves to be involved as well. Lots of lurking psychos in these forums....

$250,000 worth of DGB at 20 satoshi would translate into around 3.272 billion DGB, more than the total existing DGB presently in circulation.

I think the underlying basis of your question is valid though, in spite of your belittling tone. They did say they're going to open offices in L.A. and China, I believe, but that's very preliminary and somewhat superficial, and I too think it would be interesting to know more about what the investors are hoping to get for their investment. It's obviously not DGB, so what is it?

Again, you bring up an important point regarding the need for further disclosure, and the more we can keep things serious and professional, the better the possibility we have for getting serious and professional answers.

Folks, there is a paper wallet generator here.... but it hasn't worked since the last hard fork. Or rather, it works, but there is small pesky little issue that you can't reimport your exported coins  Shocked

http://digiaddress.org/

I've have been in touch with the dev of this site, who has indicated to me that it is an easy fix....  but as far as I know he hasn't implemented it yet. He is one of the Digibyte DEVs too I believe, it's "xploited", and he has been active on this forum in the past.

Here are the last communications I had with him via e-mail:

"..... I'll fix it up this weekend. Jared mentioned it to me beifily but he didn't explain the issue.  I think I know what the issue is, just need to figure the best way to solve it.  Ohhhh   I totally know what the issue is. Just came to me.  Lol sorry don't mind me, I'm lacking sleep.

To, confirm (if you can)  it worked up until the algo switch?

No dgb nessicary.  It will up fixed this weekend. I'll give you an email to let you know....
"

...and I asked "Just to clarify, if I export a bunch of coins to a paper wallet, then throw it in a safe deposit box and forget about them for 10 years until DGB are suddenly worth $100 each (yeah, I know, wishful thinking)...  how do I know that I can still import them again after god knows how many wallet updates have occurred in the meantime?"

Answer:
"You'll always be able to import them.  100 years even :-)

Without getting to heavy into the details (unless you want me to)  your private key is available in different formats.   Like WIP  or base 58 but they all ultimately come from the same original private key. The format you try to import into your wallet is in the WIP format.

This is where the issue is currently, with the conversion of your base key to a WIP key the base key is still exactly the same but is being converted slightly differently now.

What I can say with certainy is that your base key will always be valid. Bitcoin is based on a public cruve encryption and didibyte being from bitcoin is the same.  So the conversion from one format to another might change over time but you will always be able to go back to your base private key and convert it into the for a you need.

That's in a worst case senerio. In reality it will just work. This change was a accidental overlook from the original import of the myriad coin code base. Basically what I'm saying is its highly unlikely to happen again bit if it did its always possible to import them again
"

So....  it seems the wheel doesn't need to be reinvented here, just needs a spoke repair...  anyone know xploited personally that can ask? He hasn't responded to any further e-mails since October.
