When he said something similar to me last year, as mentioned earlier today, I attributed it to immaturity and inability to field very direct questions, but when I saw the same thing again this morning, said with such condescension, I couldn’t help but reiterate publicly that documentation is good, not bad.

Nevertheless, being the ever hopeful person that I am – often to my detriment – I gave him a chance to set things right. We all saw what he did.

HR, I think you need to let it go.
You've been very helpful to this community.

Just take your stone, put it on an useful place if you like Digibyte. If you don't like it anymore, just don't pull your stone out of it by anger.

I follow this project from, let's say, almost as long as you. I realised a few things you can't fight:

Some random pros,
Jared is very good when he talks about DGB tech,
He's also very clever about what is good or not for DGB,
As far as I understand, he's trying to not feed P&D industry, which fact seems pretty legit to me. We can't prove the opposite anyway.

Now some cons,
They have awful marketing, but everyone is trying to help it out. Where other coins are pro at selling wind and dust, DGB is pro at looking down and coding.

These simple facts should make you realize that you don't have to care that much for an information you cannot get, or an argue you can't fix with Jared.
Just let it go mate, put an other stone if you're strong enough, or watch the newcomers helping and try to guide them if you're too old for it already.
But surely your anger won't be of any help around here.

Stop these Hype money, get in DGB!

This is an open source project and community; majority wins. If you really think it was such a great business deal, you can present it here. If the community believes it's great, then it will be the direction. If it's really that great, someone else will take you up on the offer.

DigiByte wasn't/isn't the only entity I've talked/been talking to.

Open source does not mean your product, especially target market specific strategies, for example, is equally "open".

The elements of surprise and rapid implementation are critical to this project's success (fully compatible with all current technologies in place). The community gets nothing more than information on an as needed basis regarding all marketing, and the long term rewards, of course. ;-)

It's do or die with the 2nd tier 1st generation coins.

I've got something that greatly ups the odds of making it a do.

Offered at 10,000,000 DGB (when it was at 80 and had a dip to the 60s after that, and BTC in the low 1400s still), it was priced as a giveaway.

But priced, nonetheless.

The reason for the NDA and its escrow account is obvious.

Another blown opportunity for DGB.

But, yeah, your premises don't work in this case. There isn't time and all the niche possibilities are all already taken . . . almost. Smiley

P.S. Who's said goodbye to whom? Please read what I've written. I said that this wasn't something with the community, but whoever want's to gain troll fame in my book (meaning the best you're going to get out of me is that I read what you say but completely ignore it), please be my guest, here or wherever you like. It's your prerogative. Knock yourselves out.

@ghostycc, It ain't anger. What's that mobster saying? It's just business.

For as intelligent as you guys are you have no idea how money and consensus works or you'd realize that the stats are 68% of the global adults are unbanked.  Which means damn near all of them are being unaccounted for.  The money was either hidden or just made and spent on a miner or wtvr their means were to produce it.  Doesn't matter.

What matters is that 53B total cap is complete shit compared to what's coming and what's out there.  Giving up on any of these projects means you're not 100% functioning lol.

How many times have I heard shit was dead and this was a scam and that was a scam blah blah stfu! lol

Leave/stay idc and neither does anybody else.  Just ask the creators of the "joke" Doge.  They'll also tell you to have a Coke n' a smile and stfu!

This is one of the most active projects out there so somebody needs a hug Cheesy

Check out what a successful 2nd tier 1 generation coin looks like: http://syscoin.org/  Or at least a potential survivor.

Friend, we have heard you out but please stop using the Forum for DGB to push other coins and insist on us getting out.  You've said your piece as has Jared and as you mentioned before, people have heard you out and will make appropriate changes based on their opinions.  I'm not disagreeing that DGB can be improved and neither are DGB themselves but I've heard what they have to say with regards to man power prioritisation and their current plans.  I like it, and will stay.  Others might not, and may leave, that's fine, but you need to let it go now.  You just seem petty, are derailing the thread and not being very consistent with it either.  I'm not saying be a blind yes man but don't bring your emotions and personal feelings on private interactions with the DGB team into this thread please.

And now, the bad:

-There doesn't appear to have been any serious activity in Github for a couple of months now.. I keep hearing about how active and dedicated the development team is, so is the apparent lack of development just a temporary post-release thing or is it something deeper?
-Some really instantly obvious bugs in the client (like the sync time remaining showing several years)... Not that this is necessarily a major issue but it doesn't leave a good impression, especially for a currency that wants to appeal to the masses.
-Stuff left outstanding on the repository that certainly doesn't demonstrate any care of the part of the developers, for instance the 'DigiByte vs DigiByte' paragraph on the README.md which is supposed to be about DigiByte vs. Bitcoin is big obvious front-facing error that was even pointed out in the github bugs a couple of months ago.. and weren't responded to or the issue addressed.
-On that note, there seems to be a lack of 'thin' wallets, meaning anyone wanting to hold essentially needs to run a full node.. there appears to have been one light 'gamer wallet' which was apparently pulled for being buggy. Of course these would appear if the currency took off in any way, which is a chicken and egg thing, I suppose.
-No Wikipedia page to speak of (just gives the impression this is not a real thing)
-Some reports on Reddit about Digibyte gaming being more or less unusable, people losing coins, etc... This is supposed to be a flagship application of the currency but it's obviously there yet.
-There seems to be quite a bit of hype around Minecraft integration, but there is no deal whatsoever with Mojang or Microsoft to justify this, just plans for a private server which gives out DGB.. not that this isn't an interesting project but it's pure speculation as to whether it will take off or receive sufficient attention to make it a factor, especially given there's no official sponsorship of it, or for any other games for that matter.
-I'd have some concerns about the potential size of the blockchain, especially if/when it gains more general adoption.

Thanks for your feedback!

As for Github, please note we have several accounts and repositories. digibyte-team, dgbholdings and digibyte. We also have private repos for projects such as DiguSign.com which has been under constant development by several people for 8 months now.

Check lates commits here: https://github.com/digibyte/digibyte/commits/master Yes it has been a month but look at last 3 years of hsitory. We switched into marketing mode as most people can see now.

Wikipedia page - great project for a community member to take on. Would be very helpful.

Minecraft - is a third party developer, not core dev team so can't comment.

Blockchain size  has plenty of room to grow and will be addressed as needed.

We will be posting much more on the cybersecurity front and upcoming DiguSign release soon. Very exciting stuff in the works.

Great response, very informative. Any bounty out for that wiki page?

@HR,

now after your last posts, that is obvious, you are trying hard to hold back the value of coin.

You are chasing even a single poison drop in the ocean to drive down DGB image.

Waiting what's next you'll bring up and serve here as huge DGB letdown.

Btw, you are spitting in a cup you are drinking from.

Once more I would like to ask you, what's the aim of your DGB bashing? Answering remember your own statements - Transparency & Integrity! ^^

HR, you are loosing your respect with each stubborn post you are making. Digibyte community is a very healthy community for long and now the time for it to reach to the new heights have come. Your type of negative/stubborn/egoistic people will be lost in the past soon. Do yourself a favor and get some DGB.

Hey guys. I have two questions.
1) Is digibytegaming.com still working? I can see that payments are paused and there is no ladder in the last 24hours and more. Is still alive or not?
2) My second question is little bit how to buy. I have Ripple coins in bitstamp, but want to use them in Poloniex to buy some DGB. Does anyone have any idea how to transfer them? Cause Ripple doesnt have some offline wallet as far as I know, except GateHub

This coin is extremely undervalued... I think the sites that are no longer available showing on the reddit page need to be removed though.

please be patient with this node:
