HELP please.

I just installed the new wallet (I had a really old version which I never used if I am correct)....

I get no connexion to the network AND the syncing would be for over 3 years of blocks....

Please, can you provide a list of nodes or directly a .conf file
and a bootstrap to speed up the syncing process.

thanks in advance

This was posted a few pages back.

Don't want to sound like a total a$$ but the past few pages ppl keep posting "help!" messages without even looking back over a few previous pages, where the exact issue was covered several times. There is also a bootstrap which HR posted a page or so ago.

fair enough.... first time I require help but did not check previous pages ;-)

For everyone asking about the digibytegaming project problems (payout paused) or for the people that want some answers here you go (extracted from the dev live stream)

Jared- Digibyte Dev:

"We plan to start to work on Digibytegaming on the near future, currently we paused them (payouts) because there were a couple issues with CS:GO and with World of Warcraft, the reality is actually there is no way we can securely interact with those two API's, the only one we can run in the future is League of Legends because people can exploit the game itself"

----
Now my personal opinion and hype around this: If the price keeps growing, it could be possible to earn good money just by playing games, for now just League of Legends, but this could really change how gaming is seen, not just profitable for professional players but for dedicated players too. Also the coin could interact with other games as a real in-game payment form, streamer tips etc etc.

Please work toward this project because there are a lot of chances around it, and believe it or not, many people is interested on it, just watch, more than 2k people registered these days on the digibytegaming hub, and many are asking for that minecraft server, that are minor things, you could really partner up with them, and make something big, like real events and deals with game developers, not just some internet guys setting up a server.

HI !
I have some dgb on a paper wallet generated from this website:
https://walletgenerator.net/?currency=DigiByte

When I check the address on the blockchain explorer everything is fine with the public key (amout etc...)

Now I'm trying to spend these DGB but I can't import them to the Digibyte QT wallet.

Any clue how to do that from the private key ?

Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
M

Help me please for solo mining!! on pool all work good

Hi we already had this discussion early on Telegram.
You need new rpcauth method!

https://github.com/digibyte/digibyte/tree/6.14.0/share/rpcuser

This was some days ago on DigiByte Offical Chat hope it helps:

Quote
Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:06]
that branch is ahead of 5.4.2

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:06]
rpcuser/rpcpassword should still work

twebit, [25.03.17 16:06]
the thing is I mine with the old deamon no problem but the new way of mining has changed something and rpcuser/rpcpassword doesn't work now

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:06]
https://github.com/digibyte/digibyte/tree/6.14.0/share/rpcuser

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:07]
so ./rpcuser user

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:07]
will generate an auth for you to put in your digibyte.conf

twebit, [25.03.17 16:07]
I generated the .cookie file and put it in my config

twebit, [25.03.17 16:08]
already

twebit, [25.03.17 16:08]
rpcauth=_cookie_:numbers

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:08]
whats your digibyte.conf look like

twebit, [25.03.17 16:09]
server=1
listen=1
deamon=1
algo=sha256d
rpcauth=__cookie__:thenumber

rpcpassword=thepw
rpcallowip=192.168.1.12/24
rpcport=14022
port=12024
maxconnections=10
addnode=46.4.66.6

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:10]
what are you using for bfgminer password

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:10]
should be no need for rpcpassword

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:11]
if you have rpcauth

twebit, [25.03.17 16:11]
thepw (its a long number)

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:11]
so if you run the script i linked before

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:11]
the output is

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:11]
String to be appended to digibyte.conf:
rpcauth=user:5958c94d2bfd7eca2db5cfd126fc7eb1$2b2b0f060afc89ce848d7a9a006eecbe4776e3271d533665e1504f3236ea20ef
Your password:
C-lqqs6x3gayJwBqPr_wxjAoQ3Gm82L45HQ6zN6l6d8=

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:11]
rpcauth=user:5958c94d2bfd7eca2db5cfd126fc7eb1$2b2b0f060afc89ce848d7a9a006eecbe4776e3271d533665e1504f3236ea20ef

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:11]
is what you would put in digibyte.conf

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:11]
but

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:11]
C-lqqs6x3gayJwBqPr_wxjAoQ3Gm82L45HQ6zN6l6d8=

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:11]
is what you would use for bfgminer

twebit, [25.03.17 16:12]
oh no I copied it from the text file cookie eg; __cookie__:the long number

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:12]
yeah that's probably why

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:12]
try adding the rpcauth command i just posted into digibyte.conf

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:13]
close/restart wallet

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:13]
and use C-lqqs6x3gayJwBqPr_wxjAoQ3Gm82L45HQ6zN6l6d8= as your bfgminer password

twebit, [25.03.17 16:13]
ok so user:longnumber into the config ah ok and the pw for bfgminer OK I'll be back in 10 minutes while I startup again

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:14]
also remove rpcpassword

twebit, [25.03.17 16:15]
what about the bfgminer user still the same I have digibyterpc as the user now

twebit, [25.03.17 16:15]
ok

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:15]
user will be 'user'

twebit, [25.03.17 16:15]
ok

twebit, [25.03.17 16:21]
and then that same long number in my bfgminer for pw?

twebit, [25.03.17 16:22]
starting now will be 10 miutes

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:22]
nah

Gary Mckee, [25.03.17 16:22]
gonna PM you

twebit, [25.03.17 16:22]
ok

Mike Jumbley, [25.03.17 16:50]
Don’t forget to document it all twe. 😊

twebit, [25.03.17 16:50]
I won't 😊

If we get China, other exchanges will likely follow anyway. Now that we have maintained this extreme level of trading for about a week now you'd think exchange operators would sit up & take notice.

To enter Japan, Kraken is actually one of the most useful exchanges as they hold a Japanese domestic bank account, allowing you to send/withdraw fiat for peanuts. Plus, recently they have been adding new coins at a rate of about one per month.

When we do contact exchanges it should be pointed out the trouble Polo is having with account verification/customer service in general. Given the price blow-up, getting funds off of Polo is a real headache tbh, and if a slightly better exchange comes along they could take quite a bit of business away from them. This is a bigger opportunity for exchanges than perhaps they realize.

I have a question. Currently I have no access to my computer with Digibyte wallet, but I do have a backed up wallet.dat. I have installed the DIgibyte android wallet and tried to import the private key (wallet.dat), but I get an error message "Illegal base64 padding".  I use the correct database password. So Iḿ wondering if there is another way to import my DGB wallet?

I have observed the DGB market for few hours and amazed to see volume is increasing constantly without any stop but price seems are stuck somewhere between 800 and 900 satoshi. Is this under accumulation currently and in next hours we will see market exploding or it will sat like this for some time ?. I am undecided for my next move and waiting for indications.

How's it going to be financed? Who's going to pay for the payouts?

If you ask me, it's on permanent pause.

why don't you let it go.. why are you even here? I've read thru the last 5 or so pages in the thread and all you do is FUD. Sounds like you're bitter for some unknown reason. There's countless other coins you could bash. how bout travelling to the bytecoin thread and bash the non existent devs over there. at least this dev is present. Just leave. and before you even try to reply to me with your concerns, just realize, I do not care and will probably not even read your response.
