Possibly. But people will still want to put their funds somewhere. I think the change column in the Markets box is also influential, and the Digibyte name is out there now.

One fear I have about the event on the 9th is that a lot of people will demand/expect an instant update and good news. The presentation is only one of many, and not on the same day of course, so the good which will likely come out of it will take time to realize. Definitely weeks, possibly months. Not many people in crypto are patient of course, but that's what has made Digibyte early adopters fairly well off. I hope that fact isn't lost on people who bought their first Digibyte in the recent price surge.

i do think it did contribute to the price climb alittle. Still lets see what the 9th offers lol.

Remember what happened to Litecoin price once they adopted Segwit. Same happens to digibyte price after 9th.

Accusations that DGB is scam coin, are not in place.

Oher thing is large wallet, which are sometimes whales wallets, developers wallets or exchanges wallets.

Evenly distributed coins never get pumps like DGB got. Whales need significant amount of total supply to securely move the trades to uptrend.

Or do you think DGB price gain was natural? Not likely!

Always take into mind this or similar graph. Somewhere DGB uptrend will stop. Is it current moment, or later. Guess or analyse.
