I'm also rooting for the algo change. I'm currently mining other coins, DGB is dominated by ASICs at the moment.

I used to mine qubit algo by CPU and actually mined quite a lot of coins. Too bad those good old days are gone. I hope Jared can bring them back.

I hope Digibyte go to Binance, any news or still olny a rumor?
All Binance enquiries should be made at Binance, these questions cannot be answered by DigiByte developers or community members because we do not know. Applications have been made and the ball is entirely in the Binance court.....DigiByte foundation will still not pay a listing fee, so don't hold your breathe and by far the majority of the DGB community is.....well not bothered!

Why not check out DX Exchange? DigiByte will be on it at launch!  Wink

https://dx.exchange/

There is an opportunity to list DGB in Binance for free by voting in the Binance coin of the month Round 7

https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004772311-Community-Coin-of-the-Month-Round-7

Coin needs to be nominated by core developers and binance registered users can vote. This should be an easy WIN.

Lets get the coin nominated and vote.

DGB is on a lot of exchanges but the largest volume by far is on Bittrex https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/digibyte/#markets . Adding another large exchange to the mix that could potentially match that volume would be fantastic exposure for the project.

Core developers have wasted enough time submitting stuff to Binance. Every time they do, Binance just move the goal posts again.  People that have Binance accounts and want DGB on their exchange, take it up with Binance because they really have everything they need!

Look at the DX exchange, it is a regulated all singing and dancing fiat-crypto exchange....a far better place for DGB to be!

Anyone having problems with digihash.co?  I switched some miners to digihash yesterday and received zero deposits in 24 hours.  I usually get 5-7 deposits of 100dgb every day running 55TH/s.  but this time I got nothing?

Anyone know why?

Also, does digihash have a forum?

Don't panic, this is known to happen from time to time. I see pending block payments for sha and scrypt mining on the DigiHash pool. I don't know the reason why exactly but I do know people will receive all their payments when someone there gives it a nudge.  It may have something to do with back end works or server migration that has been going on recently......but like I said don't panic, keep calm and keep mining!

Sorry I have an amendment to make.  DigiByte will not be on DXdotExchange at launch like I previously said but soon after.
The exchange will launch with only 5 assets and DGB and XVG will join the party soon after, apparently.
My apologies for any confusion I may have created, I try to be as accurate as possible with any Information I pass on in here but it shouldn't be too difficult for people to check the facts for themselves....and I would encourage anyone, to do exactly that!

Mining becomes very centralized becouse of the asics dominance. Ii would be much better if this became a cpu/gpu only coin. I would not mine it currently.

Hey Jumbley I have been on holiday for 14 days and left my miners on mining DGB. I usually mine around 800 DGB per day but upon my return home ive checked my wallet and I haven't been paid any since the 1st of June so ive lost out on 14 days of payment. I'm more than happy to pay the 5% fee to help out the digibyte community but I cant afford to not be paid at all. I'm struggling to find any type of contact details apart from the so called AI that replies on facebook messenger. Please could you confirm that ill be paid or give me the contact details so I can speak to somebody about this matter. Ive seen in the post you said everything will be ok and they will send the payment but this happened to me a few months ago for a couple of days and I never received any payments for that. Thanks Terry

What algo are you mining? It seems all the DGB algos have been overtaken by Asics. DGB needs to transition to new Asics if it wants the smaller miners to stay involved in the project.

A lot of DGB fans are already connected to telegram which you can sign up to at https://digibyte.io. For those people that aren't here is a good live stream with Digibyte founder Jared Tate and Digibyte Ambassador Joshiah Spackman.

Well, even the folks here don't understand taxes at all either.

Otherwise, you would not hear folks declaring that the SEC not considering various Crypto Coins as securities as a good thing.

Trades of securities fall under the umbrella of Capital Gains Tax (in the US), and if they are not securities, then they have to be considered income.

Let's see, what would I rather pay:

Capital Gains Tax - 15%
Income Tax - 22% or more. But wait, it doesn't stop there. Add in SS Tax, Medicare, and all those other taxes that are included SEPARATELY on your paycheck. Those incidentals are also part of the 'income tax.' Also called 'Payroll Taxes'. You might very well now be above 30%

Now, which would you rather pay?

The value you got for the crypto minus what you paid for it is a capital gain. That is the taxable event. Every trade, every transaction now creates a taxable event. If you took a loss then you can deduct the loss (if you can document it) from your other capital gains.

When you buy something it probably also includes VAT. In the Netherlands, they luckily do not have capital gain, they just tax you a yearly 1-2% on your crypto as a tax on your assets. Smiley (as long as they don't see it as a form of income or something that should involve VAT)
