Any chance of some instructions on how to update P2Pools, thanks.
We will double check this! Thanks! I just updated my P2Pool node. I didn't even stop P2pool, I just stopped the DigiByte client, replaced it with the newer version, and relaunched it. My node kept on running all the time and picked up new work as soon as the client was relaunched. I didn't touch the P2Pool config yet. @All P2Pool Owners: The P2Pool Config also needs to be updated. I have requested Rav3npl (at Github) to check it out. And I'll let you guys know when the networks.py files are updated. https://github.com/Rav3nPL/p2pool-rav/issues/57So Heres how P2Pools can update both digibyte and p2pool config files using the terminal: How to Update digibyte or DigiByteProject:change directory to digibyte or digibyteproject OR if youve renamed it as suggested in my guide You should what changes were made (Deletions and additions in the code) -- Make sure that these changes were made! And now you can run digibyted again, and as stated by the p2pool owners above, you dont have to stop the client... How to Update P2Pool Config:Again, this can ONLY be done after Rav3n or someone from the DigiByteTeam (@xploited) gives us the networks.py files. So, wait until that happens. Change directory to p2pool OR if you havent renamed it to p2pool Again, You should see that Additions and Deletions were made in the code -- Make sure that these changes were made! Doon't worry, when you pull to p2pool.. There are no changes made to the web-static folder.. so you frontend will stay the same I would recommend killing the p2pool and restarting it just to be safe We dont want any surprise forks! @thefrog does this help? Thanks to HollowStorm for this!

Not sure if my case was special for some reason but when I swapped the two files marked in purple it also prompted me for the pthreadGC2.dll file. It loaded w/out issue once I transferred that file over. I'm running Win8.0e.
For windows only qrc_bitcoin.cpp & digibyte-qt.exe need to be replaced. The update uses that same .dll files as the previous update. @DigiBye: Regarding the P2P Pools, cant you write next to the pool name in the OP what country the pool is hosted in so that we knoow which one to use? Great idea, we will be re-doing the OP today as well as getting marketing materials ready for the crypto convention. This week will be about updates, updates and more updates! Cryptsy is really starting to piss me off that they haven't added this coin yet. We will start a new Cryptsy push here in a few days, right now we want to get more organized and focus on other more urgent developments (web site, promo video etc.) Cryptsy knows who we are. All we can do is keep working hard each and every day. ★★ DigiByte ★★ [DGB] New Anti-Multipool Implementation ✈ DigiShield v2.0 Update ✔
★★ DigiByte ★★ [DGB] Superior Anti-Multipool Technology ✈ DigiShield v2.0 Update ✔ +1 Great idea! Tate you would consider changing the PoW to PoS at any date in your mind? PoS would give x% interest for holding coins in the wallet, like with NxT and Mintcoin. look what happends with Mintcoin last days, 400% increase because PoS time is coming in 2 weeks. POS is a very complex idea with some great features and not so great features in our opinion. At this point we do not feel POS would make it any easier to gain main stream adoption. It is hard enough to explain to the average person how sCrypt work. It has yet to filly prove itself as there are many unanswered questions. We are not ruling it out long term or opposed to considering other ideas. Innovation is an on going process. Also, Devs: You might like to replicate the DigiShield post over there as well We will do that. We need to start growing DigiByteTalk! I updated the Chinese DGB thread, let's focus on spreading DGB to China. What's the situation with Btc38? Come on, work hard, play hard!
Edit - I'm updating every DGB thread on bitcointalk We would like to start focusing more efforts on China. According to our analytic data it is still our #1 source of traffic. Right now we are working on several projects. Has anyone had any contact with bman3 recently? We really need to find out the latest on the finished DigiMan and if the promo video is ready. Last we heard about 10 days ago was they were right around the corner. Not sure if my case was special for some reason but when I swapped the two files marked in purple it also prompted me for the pthreadGC2.dll file. It loaded w/out issue once I transferred that file over. I'm running Win8.0e.

I'm running it on windows 7 and my wallet was working fine and i didnt have that pthreadfile.dll in my map. So when i updated, it was asking for it, so i had to transfer that file from the update files.

The fact that this coin is still kicking with such a devoted dev team and community says a lot - even if we as a whole are a bit of a small fish right now. DGB is the underdog sleeper story, I'm tellin' ya. This is a grassroots coin combined with some very devoted devs and associates that keep it at a professional level. I think everybody is a bit surprised DigiByte isn't a tad more widespread - but that's exactly why it will be soon. The sea of scamcoins, and simple copy/paste jobs by people who aren't actually developers... DigiByte stands out - we just have to shout a little louder and keep the momentum going.Maybe once the network transition is complete and everything is smooth with DigiShield the community should focus on a promotion campaign over a few days, just really making an effort to spread the word - and the DigiBytes! - to other discussion places outside of this thread. Reddit, cryptocointalk, twitter, etc. We've got that great new flier graphic to use and some catchy logos, I'd be willing to put some time and my reddit muscle into such a campaign. The last time myself and a few people did a reddit tipping and promotion/discussion campaign, which was rather unofficial, we saw the reddit subscriptions go from 170 -> 230 in a day. It has taken weeks to get up to ~300, so the effect of active promotion is certainly very real. We can have very real influence on the growth of our coin, my fellow DGB devotees.+1 Thank you for the feedback and support! Once we have made it through the the transition perdition we are going to start aggressively promoting and advertising!

I wanted to comment that I have found a website that might be of interest to the media campaign: http://earncryptocoins.com/ The website is a compilation of various currencies faucet yesterday had 1500 users and 1660 are on today. And also remember that in my pet care services accept payments DIGIBYTE! www.cuidotusmascotas.com

I think they're down temporarily. All their coin-pools seem to be down, so they're probably having some issues with their server. http://dgb.smalltimeminer.com appears to be down as well. MPOS is running, but the stratum servers have been down since the 20th. https://pool.chunky.ms/dgb/ also has 0 workers and 0 hashrate, and haven't found a block in the last 3 days. Though I'm not sure whether they are just unlucky or if the stratum server went down as well.

Please let us know if we are missing any of the regular pools that have updated to DigiByte v2.0 DigiShield. We will be removing pools from the website that have not updated or notified us that they will be updating.

We have removed all pools from the website that have not updated to v2.0 DigiShield.
Pools that are no longer online have also been removed.
