@digibyte
when do you send me the information for the promo video?
We are still preparing it. It might take us a couple more days as we are preparing all the info and materials for the crypto currency convention. We have also had some other unexpected things come up. Sorry for the delay but we need to get it done and make sure we have a solid professional presentation and presence at the convention. what's the ETA?

how come did you give the digishield code away? doesnt that mean that any coin can use it without saying they have? it could have been a great promotion tool for digibyte
The code is open source. Anyone can use it or look at it.

what's the ETA? more the question or: friday, saturday, sunday...... We are working to get the promotional material for the Convention out to the printer today & tomorrow. We need to get all that off so we have time to get it printed and returned to us before the convention. We also are working on getting the presentation for the crypto convention finished by Saturday. We were hoping to get images we could use in the presentation and the video. So we are going to do our best to get you some by Saturday evening if not before. We are also working on wrapping up the DigiByte v 2.9 update which implements DigiByte into the Bitcoin 0.9 software. We have also had several discussions with investors and other merchants about adding DigiByte. So we are very excited for that and for the Crypto Convention. We feel it is going to be a huge boost for DigiByte. We will be very well positioned and well represented there. We apologize for the delay in communications but it is very time consuming keeping up with messages vie Email, BitcoinTalk, Reddit, Facebook, Twitter & DigiByteTalk while trying to get any development work done. We could use a full time communications/pr rep at this point.

This is part of the normal coin's growth. All gains currently are short term. If you feel its necessary to get out principal and play with house money, that's fair. The next big step for this coin will be to increase awareness in China due to the large amount of capital and liquidity they bring. BTC38.com and BTER.com are top exchanges. We need to get someone from that part of the community to assist. In addition, a larger retailer that would accept DGB would also create massive buzz and headway. Let's keep pushing forward and not lose sight of the larger goal in mind. No selling here. ---- You are right, dude. So many people buying on cryptsy AWESOME, BUY BUY BUY ! On the note of Cryptsy, DGB is looking good. It wasn't pumped like normal, maybe because it is so spread out on other exchanges, but the price is holding up pretty good. This is a stable coin for the future. Just for any newbs that are now getting in on the coin, the highest it has been is close to 400 Satoshi in the past. This coin held over 300 for a decent amount of time as well. A big reason the price dipped was because of multipool attacks which have now been remedied with DigiShield which is performing flawlessly btw. So the prices you see now are bargains. There is plenty of headroom to go and the previous high prices were just a taste of what is in store for this coin. This past week the Digibyte presence on Twitter has grown. It is now crossing the paths of more and more people and I have seen some big players now talking about DigiByte when they didn't know it existed before. Prepare to see a lot of action with the coin in the coming weeks. Without question now is a really good time to buy.

sounds great! What does this mean for the coin? As far as we know we are the first Alt Coin to do this. Including Litecoin. So besides Bitcoin we will have the most advanced crypto protocol running in our wallets.

(Though of course I can't help if you mean PMs as opposed to posts). Not being a member of the core team I refrain from posting announcements there, but if that would help take the load off you then I can do that. The post count there is increasing but still rather low. Increased use of DigiByteTalk would allow discussions to be followed more easily as important or interesting posts sometimes get lost in the clutter here.

We are looking to change the front page of the DigiByte website. This is the initial rough draft of what we are working on. How could we improve this? How could we make it better, what other points are we missing? We also want to clarify what we meant by dropping the words "Crypto" "currency" and "coin." We are not dropping them from all technical descriptions but materials market toward people unfamiliar and brand new to crypto currency technology. Remember, this is geared toward someone who has never heard of a crypto currency or of bitcoin. Keep it simple & stupid. "DigiByte is a secure world-wide decentralized payment network, inspired by Bitcoin. You send & receive DigiBytes much like PayPal & Western Union transfer money but with vast improvements, including lightning fast transactions with minimal or no fees."How can I use DigiByte? 1) Aquire DigiBytes: You can buy DigiBytes by trading money such as the USD for them or you can trade digital currencies such as Bitcoin for DigiBytes on several digital currency exchanges. You can also acquire DigiBytes through a process called “mining.” 2) Spend & Earn DigiBytes: Once acquired you can buy and sell goods & services with DigiBytes all over the world from an ever growing list of merchants & retailers. You do this be sending or receiving coins via a DigiByte address that works like a bank routing number but slightly different. An example DigiByte routing number/address looks like: DG1xyajwmb3Jy9UaiBWr7Ni4VFWbzszeyV 3) Store & Save DigiBytes: You can store DigiBytes on your computer, your mobile phone, in an online wallet on a website or even on a piece of paper. Once you acquire DigiBytes they are 100% yours and you completely control them. There is no need for a third party. Why should I use DigiByte? 1) Speed: When sending or receiving DigiBytes you receive a notice that the transaction as occurred on both ends within a second or two. Within roughly 6 minutes after receiving DigiBytes you are able to turn around and spend the DigiBytes elsewhere. No more waiting days for a direct deposit, or ACH transfer. 2) Fees: Most DigiByte to DigiByte transactions are free. With a few larger transactions incurring a very small limited network fee distributed to miners, less than a fraction of a percent. 3)Scarcity: Only 21 Billion DigiBytes will ever be generation. Over time DigiBytes will become more scare and will slowly increase in value. 4) Decentralization: No one controls the DigiByte network. It is spread amongst & shared by thousands of people across the planet who donate their computing power to process transactions. In exchange for this they receive a share of new DigiBytes as they are created. 5) Ownership: Once you obtain DigiBytes they are completely yours. There is no third party involved. You can store your DigiBytes any where you want to. 6) Limits: There are no limits on how much you can send and receive besides that natural limitations & current state of the market. Disclaimer: DigiByte is still a very young & upcoming technology. DigiByte market prices fluctuate daily and until further adoption occurs it can make dramatic price swings upward or downward within hours. Day trading & investing in crypto currency technology such as DigiByte & others is a very new and risky venture. Make sure to take the time to educate your self on this new technology and the risks it poses. We will also make links on "exchange" and "mining" that describe what it is on another page. Or maybe a tool tip pop up.

I'm guessing you haven't slept much as most of my suggested changes below are just spelling/simple grammar things. I did make a couple of wording suggestions as well to help explain more clearly, or to use words more familiar to everyday people such as middleman & cloud etc. Feel free to adopt or ignore the changes as you wish! Also, the fees part may be a little cumbersome, but I thought it sounds good mentioning that the larger transactions attract a fee so as to ensure that the whole payment arrives in a timely manner. (not exactly sure of the precise reality of this though). It may be better to cut the final part out & just mention it to interested people who ask about it. We are looking to change the front page of the DigiByte website. This is the initial rough draft of what we are working on. How could we improve this? How could we make it better, what other points are we missing? We also want to clarify what we meant by dropping the words "Crypto" "currency" and "coin." You do this by sending or receiving coins via a DigiByte payment address that works similarly to bank routing numbers. DigiByte routing numbers/payment addresses are 34 alphanumeric characters long for premium security, and always start with a "D" for Digibyte. An example number/address looks like this: DG1xyajwmb3Jy9UaiBWr7Ni4VFWbzszeyV 3) Store & Save DigiBytes: You can store DigiBytes on your computer, your mobile phone, in an online cloud wallet on a website or even on a piece of paper. Once you acquire DigiBytes they are 100% yours and you completely control them. There is no need to involve a third party "middleman" to use them as you make payments directly to the intended recipient.Why should I use DigiByte? 1) Speed: When sending or receiving DigiBytes you receive a notice that the transaction has occurred on both ends within a second or two. Within roughly 6 minutes after receiving DigiBytes you are able to turn around and spend the DigiBytes elsewhere. No more waiting days for a direct deposit, or ACH transfer. 2) Fees: Most DigiByte to DigiByte transactions are free, with a few larger transactions incurring a network fee of just a fraction of a percent. This fee is distributed to the miner network to ensure prompt processing of larger payments through the network and you can think of it much the same as paying for a priority payment at your bank. <- technically it can't be less than a fraction of a percent but thats just me being a grammar nazi.3)Scarcity: Only 21 Billion DigiBytes will ever be generated. Over time , DigiBytes will become more scare and will slowly increase in value. 4) Decentralization: No one controls the DigiByte network. It is spread amongst & shared by thousands of people across the planet who donate their computing power to process transactions. In exchange for this they receive a share of new DigiBytes as they are created. They also share any network fees, as described above.5) Ownership: Once you obtain DigiBytes they are completely yours. There is no third party involved. You can store your DigiBytes anywhere you want to. 6) Limits: There are no limits on how much you can send and receive, besides natural limitations such as the number of Digibytes available, and the current state of the market. Disclaimer: DigiByte is still a very young & upcoming technology. DigiByte market prices fluctuate daily and, until further adoption occurs, dramatic price swings upward or downward may occur. Day trading & investing in crypto currency technology such as DigiByte & others is a very new and risky venture.
