Digibyte needs to become an accepted form of payment for goods and services. This is why DigiPay is so important. Also Digibyte needs to get involved in the new OpenBazaar project to become an accepted means of payment there as well. This coin is just asking to be used. So who wants to create DigiBlack the first online casino that take DGB?

I don't see a problem with the amount of new coins per day. At the current price (20 Sat) it's only 3.84BTC/day. If we had 50+ BTC volume per day nobody would notice this. It's just a problem of trading volume. Once there are clear development and usage targets, it will rise. At the moment we have only a vage idea where this coin is heading to. And we have to trust the team that they are working on great deals and cool technical developments in the background.

Any investment in DGB is a good one. It will pay off in due time. Not many people have patience around here.

Wow, I was going to ask if anyone knew how to buy BTC in Europe with fiat, and https://www.litebit.eu/en/ looks really interesting. Now, I've got to take a closer look. Don't have much time this weekend, but I'll have to make some time because I really want to get aggressively on the buy side of all that dumping!

I finally got around to doing a 24 hour analysis comparing the block find numbers between algos (much easier that I thought due to some block explorer features I was overlooking).

Groest........541
Qubit..........556
Scrypt.........177
SHA-256.....515
Skein..........572

Total blocks found 2361.

If we add the averaged 369 blocks that scrypt should also be finding to that total, we’d we looking at a total of 2730, which would be very close to theoretical.

I’m not at all sure about what could be causing this, but with the issue having to do with scrypt, and with scrypt being the “old” algo, my first inclination is to ask if active “old” wallets, or previously configured and still not updated pool servers, or exchanges, or the like, might not be causing this.

Huh

It because of the multipool mining scrypt, they put the difficulty so high that it take hours to generate a block when they leave.

So renting some scrypt mining will help this issue?

No Scrypt blocks have been found since block 155713.

Starting at 155713 until now, here's the count of each algorithm found:
837   groestl
1   scrypt
835   sha256d
845   skein
850   qubit

Something is definitely not right... and it's not a difficulty problem:
Mining Difficulty: Scrypt   87.16752915
Mining Difficulty: Sha256d   1306958.89099947
Mining Difficulty: Groestl   601.99800068
Mining Difficulty: Skein   2564.90447229
Mining Difficulty: Qubit   28.76510527

My current miner setup: Linux - Ubuntu 12.04, Two 1.3Mh/s Scrypt ASICs, Two Radeon HD 7850 GPU mining different algos (usually qubit or skein).

Hmm that´s strange indead.
Maybe Digibyte have something to say about this?

About the cryptohunger pool.
I posted on the thread  that there is something not right going on with the 20% hidden fee and they deleted my post and somebody else his post mentioning the 20%fee problem.
The owner of the pool scrxxx is deleting his pool on 31 October 2014.  Fealing some heat now we know this about the fee?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=652849.msg8697877#msg8697877

Don't we need to get some word out about this? We are talking about serieus money!

Does the the Multipool, Boostpool.com use the same algorithm?     ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=770959 )
Owner scrxxx not saying anything about what algorithm he is using   ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=770959.msg8710436#msg8710436 )

Digibyte, Still no word from scrxxx?

Maybe I should have said it doesn't seem to be a difficulty problem. But, looking a little closer it shows that 15 out of the 23 blocks found leading up to the last scrypt block were scrypt. Maybe that really skewed the difficulty algorithm and the current reported difficulty of 87.16752915 isn't correct

it was my post he deleted , that means it`s true , but people are still mining at his pool regardless of the fee which I don`t get it.

I have a 280x and get at his pool 26MH minus the 20% that is ~ 21MH ,

but at the https://v2.cryptopoolmining.com/dgb-groestl/ my hashrate is 21MH minus 1% fee ,

so in the end it`s not that much of a profit mining at his pool .

We are taking a closer look into this. Our initial take is this is a temporary phenomena while multi-algo mining hash-rates stabilize. There was many back to back blocks so that will cause the difficulty to go higher than it should. It also may be the same party who was attempting to manipulate the chain with an ASIC before the switch could be attempting to do something similar again.

srcxxx is removing his cryptohunger groestl pool.

Hmmm why?
I know why.  I think we all do.

Yeah, with his kind of "transparency" and data reporting:

"You need to understand that daily profits will be different each day.
There is a fee that pool operator takes and it is undisclosed currently. Our pool likes to keep things simple.

Q: Why is my hashrate so low? I used to have 16.7MH/s on R9 290 and now I have like 930KH/s
A: That is normal. Because boostpool can switch netween different algorithms, you would be getting different hashrate otherwise (depending on current algo). So it was decided to scale the hashrate to be consistent. So grs-sgminer shows hashrate similar to Scrypt hashrate on the same equipment."

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=770959

It's sooooo much easier to scam.  Cheesy

Hi HR!

First of all, thank you for promoting my pools here and on other forums, like DMD. And BTW, they figured out their 8% fee long time ago and it is even posted on OP.

> It's sooooo much easier to scam
With this form it is easier to avoid questions from guys like you, who think that somebody owes them something.

I'm not sure why you call this a scam, but I don't care, since this is my last post in this topic...
You've already delisted me and I already have enough miners, and DGB is not much profitable now anyways (it's on par with SFR).

I think that scam is when somebody lies to you. I never lied. The displayed hashrate is what you are paid for. Just see the wording from my site "No extra pool fees (what you see in grs-sgminer is what you are paid for)".

I am not sure why people think that my pool fee must be like 2%. I never said that.
If I could make a miner that is 10X times faster than sph-sgminer, I'd probably set the fee to 80% and it would still be more profitable for the miners.
After all, it took me 3 months to work on this optimized kernel.

PS: You don't come to a restaurant and say "The beer is two times cheaper in the supermarket, I demand an explanation". :-)
