I am dissapointed that there seems to be some lost faith in the dev team here. I've been around for quite a while now and I've seen coins come and go and I've known from day 1 that the team here is extremely dedicated.

I've worked closely with many respected dev's here on bitcointalk and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Jared is by far one of the most loyal and dedicated dev's I've had the pleasure of conversing with. I fully understand that a missed deadline can cause investors to loose some confidence but the track record of the DGB team should speak for itself. Anyone that underestimates this teams desire to meet their goals is making a serious mistake.

Just my 2cents as someone who is considered a "dev".

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Hi there!

I just want to say something about some contents, because I understand the 2 camp : the skeptical and the optimistics.

If you ask me, way too much importance is being given to short term nonsense (what will most certainly be looked back on with 20/20 hindsight as short term nonsense anyway) and way too little being given to DGB’s long term trajectory.

HR, I'm here since the beginning of Digibyte and I read your posts with attention everytime because you contribute a lot with your analysis. But I want to clarify the quoted point : you have to understand that people who are loosing faith in the Altcoin market in general (and in Digibyte then because it's an Altcoin) are probably guys like me -> People who haven't a lot of money and who dreamt of a faster success for their favorite coin.

You know, when you don't have any financial problem, you can easily hold your coin if your investment were reasonable enough. But on the contrary, some people like me saw in DGB a way to make a great capital gain because the devs/community/coin are what people expect. But for approximately 9 months from now, the Altcoin market is in crisis... and DGB has suffered from it. And poor people like I am have spent their few savings in here (in Graphic cards/electricity or directly in the market).

Now, you understand my point of view : I can't blame people who expected a short/middle term rise of DGB... even if I must admit that it's not worth it to say it here! Better say nothing and wait instead of feeding the fair here in this topic. Like I do since the beginning Wink

Those who are capable of analyzing someone’s or something’s background and projecting future results based on that analysis are happily buying from those who can’t and are desperately selling. They won’t tell you now because they want to buy from you cheap, and they won’t tell you later because they’ll deem that you don’t deserve to know anyway.

One more time : some people like you can probably invest when the price is low, but others can't even if they want (and believe me, if I had few bucks to invest in my 2.2M DGB, I would do it because DGB is my favorite and only coin actually). Why can't I/we? Because we are expecting for our ROI first. Investment is done... the only thing to do is to wait and don't panic when DGB prices falls to the 10-15 sat... even if it's very difficult.

Why am I the only one (or one of very few) who says this straight out? Why do I even bother? Because I’m a nice guy and a little stupid (which means that I never give up hope in my fellow man).

Look at Cryptsy’s last few hours of trading. What a coincidence, don’t you think? That we see that selling parallel in time with such desperation on this board?

Someone is laughing out loud at such short sighted anxiety. I guarantee it.

For this, I totally agree. People have just to take it relax... and not look at the DGB market each day if they are too much emotional ^^ We are here for the long term... that's said, some people here who cry because DGB is at less than 30 satoshis for months now have to relax themselves if they believe in this project. And, the most important thing : DON'T CRY here. Just say nothing, it's better (even if, like I said previously, I understand your fear so much (for me not into DGB, but in the altcoin market in general which is kinda in bad health)).

Quote from: rayaodi

thanks for the dev's hard work ....

i bought dgb when it born .

   and i hold them for 1 year , and now , i lost 90% value ,

far away from 1000:1 with btc , far away from 10000:1 with btc , far away from 100000:1 with btc ,

how the dev achieve the  goals

Hi rayaodi. I'm exactely like you Wink I was here since the beginning... i was here when DGB was traded for months at 150+ satoshis (sometimes it hitted 300 satoshis, remember^^).  And, everytime the prices falled, I bought some DGB. But if you want to know everything about me, the spent value for my actual DGB is around 70 satoshis! Yes, and this because I was an early supporter of Digibyte : prices were so much higher, and I didn't expected a so high fall.

But i don't loose faith and believe in DGB. And, like you, even if I don't want no more announcement date from Jared and co., it would be really nice to have the devs priority goals Wink I'm not asking for a delay (it's long term). But i really wanna know, for exemple, where is the Digipay platform development at? What they will/want to put forward? Because in my opinion, some features are needed faster than others.

It's everything I wanna say. To conclude :

- For the skeptical ones : please understand that crying is not worth it for the coin, and for you who have invested in DGB. I understand your fair because you expected faster profits. But crying here is like to shoot yourself in the foot.
- For the optimistics : well, nothing to say... just continue to keep faith in DGB project and to contribute when you can.

Regards.

Moxymore.

As for QR code in the wallet, do you mean QR code reader that uses the webcam? We were just talking about that.

Yes!
That would make it really easy to use and typos/lost coins will be much less.
Also a QR generator in the dekstop wallet would be great so when i want to send it to the dekstop wallet the Digibyte android wallet can read it.

Does anyone know a good starting open source codebase to do this for a Windows Wallet?

With the announcement Windows is open-sourcing most of .Net this could lead to more mobile phone development in the future.

I think it maybe a case of microsoft denying applications for bitcoin related wallets on their store. Remember reading something about this a while back.

Hi again,

I have found this link : https://github.com/y2bd/openwp

=> And the first open-source listed is... TADAM... the DOGE wallet for Windows Phone 8.1 ;-) I hope this is what you want.

[EDIT] You can maybe take a look here too, some contents seems interesting in this article (even if it's not directly related to the creation of a mobile wallet) : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/dn520253.aspx or http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/dogemuch/81e2503a-567b-4a27-9c18-f6ba614096b7

[EDIT 2] I found this Windows Phone App too, Bitcoin Can (http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/bitcoin-can/57fcf4d6-497a-4663-8da3-93cb26c83b11). The app is free, but not sure it's opensource. Maybe you can try to contact them here :

You are welcome! Maybe the greatest way is to contact DOGE devs directly, because you worked together few months ago when you "traded" Digishield vs DGB implementation on Cryptsy. Contacts are done, and they will probably be glad to give you the source code imo.

And if it's possible, the only last feature to add in this wallet will be a QR scanner (which lacks in DOGE wallet), in order for the user to have a ALL-IN-ONE app. Have a nice day.
