If CNY is starting no shipments till feb 14th or so.
Not sure if this is affected. Do not think mass quantity is ready yet.
Testers have some but not much info on em yet in this thread.

There are couple questions asking for the availability of DualMiner USB. I would like to update the latest progress here. Our Chinese partner has delivered the 2nd batch shipment (around 1,800 units) to UPS Shanghai already. Because of the coming Chinese New Year, the delivery by UPS could experience some unexpected delays. We will open our on-line store in US once receiving the 2nd batch goods. Thank you for interested in the DualMiner USB.

About Linux on BBB or PI, we are working on issues on BBB and Linux. Because Chinese New Year, we may release it about mid of Feb.

My power consumption is becoming insane ( nearing 3kwh ) so I'll gladly do the math for me to see if it's beneficial.

For me 1kw electricity 24/7 31days is 178euro.

My 4* 280x rig uses ~1.110kwh and delivers 2.88MH ( including setup )
41* Dual miners would use ~ 103kwh and devilers 2.87MH (excl setup , anker usb hub + fan uses ~3.5w )

So my electricity cost just went from ~200e to ~19e , let's say I am saving 180e a month

Cost :
full 280x setup ~1600e
full dual miner setup : ~4000euro excl shipping+taxes

so a ROI of over a year.

You should be able to build cheaper high hashing rate LTC only miner with DualMiner USB. Please remember, DualMiner USB are priced with volume discount;

* Price (per unit)
1~9           $98 ea.         Full Price (FP)
10~49   $92.12 ea.      94%FP
50~99   $88.20 ea.      90%FP
100~299 $83.30 ea.      85%FP
>=300   $79.38 ea.      81%FP

Try your best to take the advantage of our volume discount program. Our Chinese partner uses lots of Orico P10-U2 USB2.0 hub, which you could get it for low $20s/unit, for its production testing purposes. Each Orico P10-U2 could host 10 DualMiner USB devices for mining.  So, you could build your own 4.2Mh/s miner with 60 DualMiner USB devices + 6 P10-U2 hubs with the cost of $4762.8 (60x79.38, assuming you could get the unit price $79.38 for each DualMiner USB) + $175($25x7) = $4937.8.

imho it's too expensive but the advantage is power saving n less hassle & noise !

i paid approx usd 5000 to get 7 r9 290's 2 axi corsair psu 1 mobo , ram, cpu & i'm hashing away @ 6mhs+ (i have mobo n extra psu @ home)

well just my opinion.

computer parts can sell ! usb sticks hmmm well u tell me & it's too light to be paperweight

these sticks only make sense to some one that  will sell some on ebay. and keep some to mine.
The price is too high.  especially for a winter roll out.

I am in New Jersey  I am burning 1600 watts for mining   and what do I get for 1600 watts 4 pc's pushing 2600kh for lite coin  and 100 usb sticks pushing 210 gh for btc.  All my gear is paid for /roi'd.

so If I want to sell some  of the usb sticks and swap this in   does It makes some sense?  Not really.

If I want to kill off a gpu and put some of these sticks in does it pay to do so? yes ,  but since I am getting free heat I will wait until April or May.

I know there are miners that would want these more then I do as they live in warmer areas or have really high power costs.
My 4 gpu pcs. burn 1140 watts  to get the 2600kh for lite coin.  I burn 460 watts to get the 210 gh for btc.

The lite coin is clearing  more then 400usd a month, but I think I will buy a few of these just to say I have some.

If I compare one of these at 92 usd vs 1 ant miner at 46 usd.  what is the better value?

I can get an antminer for 46 usd sent to my home in 3 days.  Then mine it for 10 days and sell it on ebay for 59 dollars or
better yet 3 x antminers = 138 usd. Use them to  mine for 10 days and sell on ebay  as a set of 3 for 177 usd.
If I do this 20  or 30 times and eventually I have a lot of no cost antminers.

I am not sure I can do the same idea with these sticks ,but I will give it a shot .  I think I will wait until after Chinese new years ends.

BTW Just a suggestion

 01-09 = 98.00
10 -49  = 92.12
50-99 = 88.20

this pricing setup may work better for you.

a level of 1-9     =   98.00
a level of 10-24 =   92.75
a level at 25-49   = 89.10
a level at 50 -100 = 87.70

many resellers can't push to 50 x 88.20 = 4410 usd

but they can do 25 x 89.10 = 2227.50 usd

you would be more likely to get a decent amount of orders from a seller that wants to run 10 and sell 15 on ebay.

I as thinking the same thing.  I would love to get 3 or 4 of these but the price is crazy high.
It would be very tight for sure.

i build 6x sapphire r9 280x , asus crosshair z, 2x psu.  nearly 4,5 mhs for 3175$
so i must buy 65x dualminer for able to have 4,5 mhs
(also i can resell my gpu as as used, play higher games etc.. but usb will be trash if ltc die)
65x miner will cost me 5720$ without fans hubs etc..

only advantage that usb will cost less electric bill
and save space

does it count for that ?

NO

You're quoting a thread from Dec. 2.  Try this instead; it shows the chips are on sale in China:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=355268.0

Also several people have received demo devices and posted about them in this thread. And the kicker is, Dualminer aren't actually selling them or asking for money yet, which makes it much harder to call this a scam. Not saying they're real and legit yet, but the signs of an actual scam are lacking at this time.

Im sure they are mining with them. Make $$$ then sell them.
