Hello. I have been running 10 of these in a hub and one in the addition USB port on an old laptop. They are functioning fine. No DOAs however I do have to reset everything every once and awhile as usually 2 stop hashing. Once I reset they are good for awhile.
They are getting hot to the touch. I moved them to a window sill where its cooler and that has helped.
I ordered more and a bigger hub. I am mining dogecoin.

the real test is what's the longevity of those things. will they break in a month? 3 months? 6 months? and what's the warranty policy? is the manufacturer going to be in business or will they go out of business and change their name to release yet another miner? (so you have nowhere to turn to for warranty)

What do you run instead of the dualminer software? It does seem buggy to say the least. they have a warranty. but mine run fine and have been doing so ever since I stopped running the dualminer software.

What is the -S switch in the batch file to run this in normal cgminer? I'm getting mine on Thursday and want to save a little time and know what I'm doing!

I shouldn't say I'm not running the software it's not 100% accurate. I running the cgminer 3.1.1 that is modified and in the cgminer win 32bit folder that comes with the software. I also messed around with the "--dualminer-pll ###" frequency modifier. 800 is pretty stable and 850 gives a little more but I don't want to push these little dudes to far just yet. Of course, I don't have a clue what I'm actually doing but 850 makes a teeny bit more khs and is still stable so...whatever.

mine looks like this: -S //. /COM## for each dualminer that is ported.

ive got 2 plugged into a docking station for my laptop and one has 37 HW errors and the other has 700. the one with only 37 HW has 7450 accepted shares and the other with 700 HW errors only has 6780ish accepted shares.
any idea why such a huge difference?
seems like its messing up the accepted shares with all the HW

Sounds like not enough power getting to them. Get a good USB hub that can supply enough power and your HW errors should go away. Docking stations usually do not supply alot of power. ive got 2 plugged into a docking station for my laptop and one has 37 HW errors and the other has 700. the one with only 37 HW has 7450 accepted shares and the other with 700 HW errors only has 6780ish accepted shares.

Are these things only for Windows or do they work with normal multi-platform software too?

Currently only Windows software is available (custom cgminer build). Multi-platform support is coming soon.

there's a switch on the dualminers. what is it for?
The little switch on PCB side is for choosing Dual Mode mining (for both bitcoin and litecoin in parallel) or LTC Only Mode mining (only litecoin). This switch MUST BE pointed reliably to either far-right-end or far-left-end in order to making the USB miners working correctly. We have received couple reports of "dead miners" because of wrong positions of this switch (somewhere between two ends). So, please double check your miners' switch positions before starting mining.
