Help Nxt by writing Articles
Shorter articles/essays:
- Why should you invest in Nxt? (/Why should you invest in Nxt long term?)
- Why is Nxt so friendly currency?: (i) It *doesn't* have VC capital backing. ii) It *doesn't* have "slick sales guys*. iii) It *does* have smart devs and an increasing following. iv) It *is* delivering its promises (more or less) on time.) - more about the community, people form all over the world, community funding, decentralized company - a world of free individuals who all believe in Nxt. 1200 pages in Bitcointalk
Nobody? This is quite open bounty before we ask people directly and make them by our own I could have a go at these two. I've already done some thinking/writing about why Nxt is a good investment (of course, I'd need to develop it further), and I've been following the community long enough that I feel I can write about it. When would you like them by? I'd need a few days at least. Possibly a week, depending on my schedule. EDIT: The longer articles are beyond my experience level. I suggest anon, joefox or jl777 for some of them. And contact davethetrousers or ebereon for the solar power article.

Is here anyone, who would write excellent and long articles about:[/b]
- The 51% Attack - technical details, history of 51% attacks, how it ended, Nxt solution (is Nxt safer than other PoS currencies?) (Ghash's pool is risking Bitcoin's security again with 40% of the network's hashpower and no one is talking about it. Pools of PoW machines with enormous hashpower is Bitcoin's most pressing concern and biggest flaw right now. Nextcoin is the best answer to this. Why is it not being talked about more?)
Have you got any idea about some other article? Share it. We would love to have more scientific articles, financial, economical, IT...
Haven't been following this thread, just saw it when someone posted the link in the main thread. (This is why we need better communication tools...) I can write about 51% attacks. But need some time (maybe 2 weeks), there's other things I should finish up first. If that's ok, then I'd like to reserve that. I could do wiki articles about the math behind the protocols in Nxt, e.g. why high enough chance of nothing going wrong is safe and you shouldn't worry, behaviours over the long run will average out even though there seem to be long blocks/low forging chances/gains etc, why certain ways to "cheat" the system fail. Was already planning to do them in the future.

Wiki translation bounties calculatedI get to be Santa tonight! This is the final list of scores for wiki translations for December 2013 and January 2014. The wiki's "permanent home" was established near the end of December, so we're putting the two months together. Top prize goes to Damelon, who contributed 16% of all translations on the site... but there's a little something for everybody who contributed translations. I'm going to start sending out rewards right away. Totals and transactions are all here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkfSNgBIzmvXdHcxSnBMUkp3bWFubzdfVmJySGVTX2c&usp=sharingIf you own one of the accounts for whom no account info is available, send me an email from your wiki account using this link to prove your identity and supply me your Nxt account number

Please add Drupal Commerce!
Integration with WooCommerce for Wordpress would be cool too. I'm glad there is a bounty on this. I'll probably ask for donations if he can deliver He might as well hold some Nxt for his work. Can you make a list of most important shopping carts to support? I want to make sure we get good broad coverage and I have no clue what is actually used on websites James

Who manages the bounties/donations?
If there are several people on several funds list them all please.
I want to discuss contributing to these.
hi, in this thread I am using many small donations to get Nxt articles, infographics, videos, translations, new websites, newsletter, to support swarms, smaller tournaments and also publishing in the media site. Account is here: 2037401990853753795 The Bible of the bounties is this googledoc: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgAGADgnQcrtdHRrV3V3Z1lzOXVEMWtqdElUaEtqV1E#gid=15Currently bounties are based on these rates: Big original article 3000 Small original article 500 Translation top5 languages 1000 Other translations 500 Original Website 1000 Small Tournament 1500 Nxt Newsletter 1000 English corrections 300 Thesis 5000 Infographic 3000 Excellent Animation video Longer Live Informational Video 3000 Longer How to video 1000 Video document Ebay selling Nxt 100 All rewared people (or soon to be rewared) ale listed in the gdoc aswell. Rewards are little smaller, but also anonymous donators can now easy look at the gdoc and support someone who was "underrated" or reward someone for "managing".. There are also donators: Come-from-Beyond 250000 neer.g 250000 Klee 20000 and smaller ones + I am trying to get founds for 2 bigger things: Lets Talk Bitcoin Radio spot: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4844814#msg4844814And Fund for Conferences: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4844706#msg4844706

I found URL that lists charities that accept bitcoin https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Donation-accepting_organizations_and_projectsMost seem to be pretty techie and not the greenpeace type of places. Using the energy saving angle, we could get some of the non-profits to actively support NXT. It might be a bit of a hot potato, but maybe it is worth doing? James P.S. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4869853#msg4869853 has a post about swarming trade shows with solar raspis. Working on shaking loose funding from unclaimed funds to pay for ~30 raspis that we can send to people who attend trade shows. Not sure if it is too crazy of an idea, but I thought worth throwing out there.

I've just gotten a friendly webdeveloper interested in creating Nxt payment modules for Wordpress, prestashop and magento (possibly other open source e-commerce systems, too).
He's currently swamped with work, but is going to read up this week and I expect a reaction during next week.
Didnt you contact wesleyh? I thought he had all that. Pin Didn't contact him yet, but will do that too today. The thing is that this guy can deliver complete modules. i don't know if wesley already has those, or just the "how-to" instructions. I will ask however. In any case, my guy at least can implement it. I would hardly take wes's time from him for that. He is no doubt working on his cross-platform client Wesley is about halfway done with the modules to allow websites to accept NXT. They should definitely work together. There is a 25000 NXT bounty from neer.g to get NXT integrated with websites. I will need this soon! Another 15000 from me!!

I have sent him the info about the bounties and a link to this thread so he can see the discussion if he so wishes. Also to show that we are willing to invest in something that's important to move Nxt forward. I'm keeping on this, even if this option will not go as I hope. As I said, it will probably take till end of the week to get an answer as he is busy with other projects, too, but I am hopeful Thank you, neer.g and klee, for again putting Nxt on the line to move things forward. I also had information back from wesleyh and he gave positive feedback, too. If it's needed, I'm sure that they can work together or at least share data. I've sent all info wesleyh gave me to my guy. I'm feeling pumped about this

have you got a total cost for all this?
Thanks all, building this is fun Cost/parts of the solar powered RasPI NXT node: - 1 x CombiBox incl. Solar panel + 1x Empty battery box: €69,78 EUR (price can be optimiced!) - 8 x Panasonic NCR18650B 3,6V 3400mAh !!!UNPROTECTED!!!(€6,90 EUR): €55,20 EUR (best price!) - 1 x Empty battery box: €12,95 EUR (price can be optimiced!) - 1 x Raspberry PI model B: €39,95 EUR (price can be optimiced!) - 1 x USB Adapter cable mini B-plug - A-plug(connection battery boxes): €8,95 EUR (price can be optimiced!) - 1 x USB Adapter cable mini B-plug - A-socket(Solarpanel > battery box): €8,95 EUR (price can be optimiced!) - 1 x ISY IWL 2000 Wlan Adapter: €19,99 EUR (price can be optimiced!) - some time to set RasPI up Done! Not optimiced complete price is €215,77 EUR. I bougth everything from time to time over some month, not only for NXT Please do not complain about the price, this is not a consumer product! RasPI is a dev board and so are the components of this prototype. If you need a offgrid RasPI, then this is what works > 30 hours without sunshine! If you build 100 of em, the optimiced price would come down to half or more Greets, eb

My buddy Leon and I just did a 2 hr video interview with Anon136 covering the major topics that sets nxt apart from other cryptos. It will take me 1-2 days to edit the videos and I will upload it for everyone to use.
If you know someone that can help with the video transcription, please let me know. Once we have one English transcription, everyone can use it to translate into other languages.
