I kinda didn't like the video, because it didn't mention the real or the strongest reasons why Nxt is not a coin. Aliases are only a small feature, if we compare them to Nxt as a platform for building new currencies on top of it, for building Twitter, Facebook and all decentralized internet on top of Nxt. So information there weren't wrong, but we could say much more cool things about that PS: you have mentioned phrase "nextcoins" on your donation page

It could be very useful for attaching to some article about nxt for example. Also it could be good promo of nxt for the people who still don't know about nxt.
Moreover we could make more promos like that motiongraphics about many new features of nxt (new clients, colored coins etc)

People, next week on Sunday I am having a meeting with three designers and how they could contribute.

To reiterate: they have their own design company, and would like to help.
However, this will not be totally for free (at least, I don't want them to do it for free, I want them to be paid in Nxt, so they will be linked to Nxt and have incentive to keep adding value to it )

I want to try and pull the whole Nxt "image" together into one unified whole, so we can present this at conferences and all outward communication.
People will of course be free to not use it, but at this moment the amount of images and press material is all over the place. Let's make it easy for people to get it, so people can quickly set up press initiatives or conferences, even at a few hours notice, if needs be,

I would like:

- ideas about what the "image" of Nxt should be, in emotional terms: powerful, playful, happy etc.
- ideas about colours.
- input on what we need: stationary, business cards, sites, cars, planes
- promotional gifts?: USB cards, pens, pins?

I also would like to request 30,000 Nxt in funds to be able to give to them for delivery of these things (and others we might need). This is a normal fee for a complete corporate image and it would help enormously. This way I can dangle a carrot in front of them big time and we will have a team that we basically hire. I've negotiated that this would be a one time fee for these services if we can get that whole team to agree. After that, I expect them to be hooked and earn their way themselves.

Personally, I think this is a bargain. We would have a repository of material where we could point people to. We will make t-shirts and cards etc. We can also ship them to people who need them. By "we", I mean "me and these guys" at this moment.

Seeing as we don't have a committee yet (do we?) I would like to tally "ayes" and "nays" in here.

The funds would go in a separate account, so nothing would be sent to me personally by the way. That is a no-no. I'm the inbetween guy, not the receiver.

Hopefully, you all like this idea. If you want more info, ask, and I will get it to you.

Their work so far is ok, but not more. We have great designers in this community, so don't just throw the money at this new guys and hope. But a complete branding package could be nice. We could give them a chance.

First of all, a nice & complete branding is needed. Not just some random stuff you listed. When we have the branding, we can have banners/posters.

But keep in mind that nxt is decentralized. It would be just a resource for possible design rules.

I'm staying out of the rest of the discussion for now, but will say that they work for Samsung and Vodafone, so they should at least be able to deliver.

However, just in case it's hot air (we are talking marketing people here ), this is exactly why I propose to give them the Nxt on completion.

New Nxt Clients

Nxt, new second generation cryptocurrency, didn’t arrive with a sparkling client with 3D buttons. Instead it launched with a very basic client that runs in your browser, the NRS (“Nxt Reference Software”) client. It is obviously not aimed at mainstream users and takes some work to get installed if you are not totally comfortable with your computer.

Several user-made clients were released in February 2014: NXT Solaris, NXT Wallet, dotNXT and ClieNXT all saw updates released to a form that has become increasingly useful to mainstream users. In addition to this, early NXT Exchange DGEX also released the first version of their Nxt client Offspring.

All of these easy to install clients make use of the existing features that Nxt offers: sending and receiving Nxt, create and assign aliases, sending and receiving messages using the Nxt decentralised data transfer system. Arbitrary Messages and are ready for use with Nxt's Asset Exchange system.

Every one of these clients brings something unique to the table.  For instance, ClieNXT is a very slim client, which opts for a clean interface.  NXT Solaris on the other hand, sports a multitude of options and features, like a tool for comparing Exchanges in real-time. NXT Wallet works in your browser and is simply stunning to see.

The results were easy to see: the prices for Nxt had risen by approximately 25% over the two days. Combined with the start of the test phase of Nxt's revolutionary Asset Exchange, Nxt is more than living up to its promise of delivering not just a new currency to the crypto scene, but a complete framework to build an online economy.

NXT Solaris is a fully featured NXT client for Windows. It is feature rich and boast a few features that are not native Nxt features, like a Market tab and an address book. The client installs very easily and you can choose at install if you want to use the closed or the open source version. The client can be used with all currently active Nxt features and is also ready to be used with the upcoming Asset Exchange. The client can also be used on the Nxt Testnet, where the Asset Exchange is currently being tested. The source code for the open source version was released on the 16th of February.

ClienNXT is a simple open source client written in Java. The current version 0.0.4 has 1-click usage. You just download it from bitbucket and click the Clienxt.jar file. The GUI will detect if Nxt is present in the lib folder of the client and if not offer to download the latest version the author has added (at the moment Nxt 0.6.1). The client is written in Java because it’s a good fit for the Nxt core and cross-platform and because it is easy to adapt for cryptocurrency users.

ClieNXT has all the basic functionality of Nxt. In the Alias screen you can both search and register aliases. The Send screen is set up economically, as it allows for both the sending of Nxt, as also the sending of messages. Messages can be encrypted. It is also possible to do bulk sendings with ClienNXT. You just have to separate the receiving addresses with a “:” and end the list with another “:”. This method can be used for sending funds and for sending messages.

dotNxt
DotNxt was announced on the 14th of January 2014 as an entry into the Nxt client competion and was released on the 18th of the same month. The source code was released on the 1st of February. It is created to avoid the hassle of installing the Java based NRS client. The philosophy is that a simple one-click installer will make it easy to use for anyone. dotNxt has a clean, easy interface. It’s simple in design and all the currently supported uses of Nxt (transactions, aliases, Arbitrary Messaging) are available. It is also possible to do some things without having your account unlocked, like search for registered aliases and seeing the current blocks. The client will automatically update the data from the blockchain. DotNxt is built using the .NET Framework 4.0. It should run fine on all up to date Windows versions.
