TwinWinNerD is probably our new reddit guy after passions leaving, so here is passion's project that should be fullfilled: salsacz, when nexerns client is published for a few days and we filled the subreddit /r/Nxt with many quality links, I want to start a reddit ad campaign. http://de.reddit.com/wiki/selfservehttp://www.reddit.com/ad_inqI will create pictures, other users can create pictures as well. We get 1000 views for 0,75$. We can target specific subreddits like /r/Bitcoin with 100k user or /r/litecoin with 18k user. But we can also target the whole frontpage. For only 75$ or 1000 NXT we could create 100k views. From interested persons or from every person world wide. I think it would be nice if we can get a minimum of 24.000 NXT for this. I would use 250 NXT per week to generate about 20000 views each week. In the beginning only on cryptocurrency subreddits. Later I would rotate it, so the "normal" ppl see the ad also. This campaign I would run for 2 years. What do you guys think? TwinWinNerD has got 5k Nxt for this now, so it should bring 500k views, if passions numbers were correct.

To help with this, I would like to ask EVERYONE in this thread to sign up for reddit and post links, short articles, just fun observations etc. there. post links directly from the forums, too. That will help get people to the forums. Answer questions if you feel like it. ENGAGE with people, like we do on the forums and on these threads. Just chucking money at reddit and expecting people to stay won't be enough. Just have fun on there, even if you just post links. We can take it from there. Once there is momentum, it will take on a life of it's own.

Bloody hell, klee, that is some serious donation. And right to a very, very cutting-edge technology. We definitely need to get this worked into our marketing material........and maybe push this to the mainstream press. "Crypto millionaire wants to live forever" could be one headline......it's the kind of action that could play well with the mainstream. This needs to go beyond the small world of crypto, in any case. Anyone got some ideas for mainstream coverage?

I would sincerely like to have a brain in a jar with a card that says "kLee" at any stand, just bubbling away. We could pretend to ask it questions and talk to it and laugh at it's (unheard) jokes.

evil: I already submitted one text to the Forbes, Wired, New York times, The guardian, etc... still no reply, but people must try keep at it, man. This is the sort of thing that will get thrown in as a small filler piece on slow news days, so it may get coverage today or in a months time. There is a good chance that some news sources will just treat it as a joke (both the crypto and the life extension) but there is no such thing as bad publicity. I'll try tipping some more of the UK press, see if they will roll with it. More A'dam conference info coming very soon, btw.

I would say the 1500 as it will give us sponsor status and that saves a lot of hassle. What do others think?

I'm not seeing this as charity, to be honest, so I'd say no.

This obsession is getting cringey. NXT is better than that. If we put up clueless girls just for the sake of having a vagina then we will be rightfully labelled as a bunch of sexist fucktards who are stuck in the 1950s. Not a good look for the future of money. These people are business minded, they want hard facts and new ideas, not dumb blondes with big tits.

I have nothing against humour man, it's just that this has been a serious proposal countless times, even hiring clueless girls just to stand there has been a genuine proposal over and over. If you were joking well then Poe's Law striked ;P ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe's_law) I'm merely saying that we should abandon that idea completely.

Sure if a genuine NXTer girl wants to go to the conference that is great. But we should be very weary of being labelled as "that sexist crypto who use cheap marketing strategies".
