What are the chances BTC is replaced by something better soon?

At the moment people seem to be concerned with privacy a lot. In my opinion some coin that makes everything more anonymous and protects it's user could beat bitcoin, but who can say for sure, bitcoin might change.

for me if I see the same potential today is BCH is almost the same thing with bitcoin and increase almost equal to bitcoin and I think 1-3 years could be replaced

Bitcoin indeed has to succeed first, and many would say that it already has. But it's got its own problems. Another system will come along and solve these problems.

Yes Bitcoin may not be perfect but good enough. First time to market. It will take something very wrong with another coin to take the number one position. I think that means a lot will not be replaced soon, and that will be a priority for a long time.

..i think that there are no other coin can surpass the fame achieved by Bitcoin..as we all know that Bitcoin is the Mother of all crptocurrency..if there is a special case that there are new coins that will become famous and replace Bitcoin,,then this will take a long period of time..as what bitcoin have undergone before it reach its high market value..

The chances are close to 0 imo, but you never know what will happen. Almost everyone knows about Bitcoin now or at least has heard the word "Bitcoin"

I believe litecoin is going to slowly erode in value and get bumped out of the top 5 because it offers nothing over bitcoin, Quit crying over lost opportunities and take advantage of the opportunities you still have.

Definitely, I don't figure an option that is more noteworthy than BTC will come sooner. Everything that we're searching for in an alternative money can be found in bitcoin. Since the majority of online gambling clubs and different entrepreneurs are beginning to acknowledge it, I don't figure they will acknowledge new one soon, if at any time there will be.

This thread has been around since 2014, and it's asking if anyone can exceed the bitcoin. And now it has been proven that in 4 years no coin has been able to do that yet. Maybe in the next few years it will be the same. Bitcoin will remain the most favored.

I agree, it's proved that bitcoin is the dominant coin in the crypto world. And I agree that bitcoin will always be at the top in the crypto world. In my opinion, bitcoin will always be at the top even though its price becomes low, because it affects other coins when its price goes low. That's why I can say that it will always be the number 1 coin.

Yeah actually this question has been around since a few years ago? you know the real key is in the user itself. if the user continues to be comfortable using bitcoin and persist using bitcoin certainly no one can replace bitcoin. and after all users have strongly believed in bitcoin right ? so I think for the next few years. bitcoin will still dominate

their are alot of potential candidate. that can replace bitcoin,  ETH for example. It has alot of uses. We need to look at other coins potential not only bitcoin, A coin that can truly satisfy our needs.

Some coins are already  challenging it in some aspects. Like ETH is being used for online payments as it is faster and has less fees.

Yeah, it's quite possible if the bitcoin will be replaced by another altcoin. If altcoin is better then we must accept it. We have to be open with new technology especially if the technology is more sophisticated and qualified. When we are better attendance then our work becomes easier. Just now, actually bitcoin technology is already lost with some altcoin. Bitcoin just wins its popularity and still earns the trust of most of the community. Of course, this is a sign of bitcoin to be willing whenever its position is replaced by another altcoin. It's all just waiting for the right time. Especially the bitcoin price of emissions is a sign that more and more people are losing confidence with bitcoin.

I believe there are some altcoins that are technically better than bitcoin, but the problem is they do not have a large infrastructure that takes years to build it. They do not have thousands if not millions of people invest, in addition to many businesses, programmers, etc. And the only real way to build infrastructure is to be the most popular coin, at least in the current situation. Then as cryptos (hopefully) get more accepted we will see some coins competing against each other and become worthy of the currency, but now Bitcoin will remain Number 1 for the future because of the infrastructure it has.
