I bid on following item 70€, and I can see gree text "You are the highest bidder.", but highest bid on item is still 65.05 €
http://bitmit.net/en/trade/i/312-graphikcard-ati-radeon

this is not a bug but a feature.

I never used bitmit but it's probably working like others auctions sites. You will only pay a little bit more than the second best bidder. If the second best bid was 65€. The highest bidder now is 65.05€. If someone bid 68€ the system will automatically set the highest bidder to 68.05€ and you will still be the highest bidder until someone bid more than 70€.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

@deafboy You are completely right Smiley

@dunand, please be aware that the seller of your offer is not accepting escrow, has got no ratings and also has not verified his id.

What is new? The country filters are broken as they were when you first introduced them a week ago.
The "Merken" checkbox does not work and is there even when I'm not logged in. Where does it remember my choice? Not in my account? In a cookie?
If you get it to work I guess you can drop the "my country" tab.
(critics are meant to be constructive. beat ebay! Wink

@giszmo
Maybe I have chosen the wrong word for "merken/remember". By clicking this button the whole site only shows items which are fitting to the filter settings. Saving it in a cookie/account settings is on my todo list. Please be patient Smiley

Well, thanks for explanation and warnings

1) I really don't like this feature
2) I am aware that seller has no rating, no identity confirmation, I didn't noticed disabled escrow but I am kind of adrenalin freak when it comes to buying from random strangers from time to time Cheesy If it's a scam, It will be my fault.

Is it possible for seller to enable escrow during the ongoing auction?
If yes, maybe I should convince him to use it.

Currently not, but I can do that if you have convinced him.

If it is really a scam contact me, maybe I can help. Last week I got 20 Bitcoins back for a user who was scammed by making use of one of my sherlock-holmes-anti-scammer-methods Smiley

1) I really don't like this feature
mhh why? As a buyer you have to like it because you save money. It seems that you really have fun when you waste money Tongue, so have a look at my signature, it is a better investment  Grin

Damn.. now we know why escrow was disabled Sad

Yeah we have a language file whereby it can be translated easily but I havent spread it yet because I want to add some other features first so we can do the translation in one step. I also thought about collecting funds for translations !?  So please be patient Smiley

Yea, it does need a "forgot password" function, but tried the site out on my 3GS and it worked fine as far as I could tell.

You should include a mechanism for people to report suspicious or illegal auctions. This will help the community police fraud on your site.

My satisfaction is below average Sad

Sold some stuff and people ignored that they won the auctions. They should have a time limit to provide an address and pay the money in order to not get flagged as unresponsive or something. I'm not an ebayer so i have no idea how they handle things like that.
Another buyer received the goods and didn't unlock the money or confirm he did receive one week after DHL reported the delivery. I requested the release of the BTC now but that takes 2 weeks.

If your buyer does not recognize that he was won the auction, post a message on the message board. He gets an email every time you write a message.

Yes, it takes 2 weeks because the seller should have a chance to react. Try to send him a message if you want to have your bitcoins earlier. Last week we introduced a feature that releases the Bitcoins automatically when the buyer rates the seller positive. If he did it already, I can manually release them for you.

I am sorry for that negative experience but some of these critic points are beyond my power. I hope you understand.

@etanoox, we talked already in facebook I think. Such a feature will come soon.

@cunicula, yes thats a must have feature. Already on todo list.

I tried to sell 10 somewhat items. Most starting at 1ct.
I sold 3 items.
One went smooth without any chit-chat.
One took ages to get the address and now he doesn't confirm to have received the package that DHL tracked to his door. (And no, he did not rate me neither. And no, I don't intend to write more messages. I already sent him 4 + 1 system message.)
One totally ignored that he won the auction.

All not your fault but also all not making me sell more. As a buyer I see people that look like scams also and most offers have a high starting price so I wouldn't hope for a bargain neither.

I've won an item, but there seem to be no instructions on how to pay for it. I want to use escrow - how?
