Not sure what is the best option but asking for a state and making the state field required is confusing for not only Germans. Think about really small countries that don't have states at all like Vatican. I could say "Bavaria" but that would be more confusing than not naming anything.
Also the ZIP code is something people don't use in Chile.

At least your form accepted "--".

Suggestion for Bitmit: Make tickboxes for the state and zip fields where the buyer could indicate "not used". There are lots of countries that don't have states, or doesn't use them in their mailing addresses. Also, Ireland doesn't use zip codes Smiley

Another feature request: Make the "More items of this seller" show random or bestselling listings, not just the oldest ones.

I love the listing as shown in the "about the seller" tab. For auctions it should show those first that expire first. Else it should be sorted by top sellers.

The horizontal scroller for the "More Items of the seller" view is broken here. Also it is redundant to have that view underneath the Items list on the "About the seller" tab.

Go to the "order page -> Order options -> Cancel order & request refund"
If the seller has not viewed the order you will get it refunded instantly. Otherwise you can contact me and I can give you an instant refund too if the seller has not shipped the good.

I am the seller. Canceled the order thanks to your msg on bitmit I found that tiny "option" dropdown. Thanks.

Feature request: The possibility to make a partial release from escrow.

Sometimes when a buyer orders multiple items, the order has to be is split up and sent in different parts. Another possibility is that a single item from the order is broken in transport. It would be great if the buyer could release the part of the payment corresponding to the goods he has received in a satisfactory condition.

feature request:

on the sell page

let users set a selling price stuck to btc (say 1.5btc)  and a postage price in usd (say $2) that converts to btc

currently it seems to be all or nothing (the selling price will convert to usd and btc will track the usd amount)

i second this feature request. prove in Bitcoin, shipping in fiat reflects the reality of most of Mr orders.

@camolist and @molecular:
Maybe you can tell me why people put anything in Ƀ in the first place?? I am auctioning a lot of silver (see sig) and do all in € because I want people to bid and not wait until the last second out of fear their bid might just double in value over a week. The inverse applies, too: If I would sell my stuff for Ƀ, people would buy my silver if the Ƀ drops.

Still most auctions/sales are denominated in Ƀ. Is that only because it is default??

I can't edit my offer Sad
In the list of active items I clicked edit next to my $36 that I sell for $0.1 and I get to the "Sell an item" tab but that tab is empty.
Next I tried to open the item and click edit there. This time it worked.
Next I tried that again when it failed again in the list and  now I can't get to the edit page anymore.
And now it works again … but I'm leaving this here as this happens quite often and should be fixed.

Still can't edit existing listings, or create new ones. When I hit "Preview" or "Save", there's a spinning icon that never stops.

Yes, a json api will come soon.

Sorry, it should work again for you. It only effected items with internal notes.

Things like this get me slightly mad at bitmit. I really hope to see some competition as it really sux to have only one auction platform and knowing this auction platform might stop business or "get hacked" any minute cause nobody even knows who is operating it.
I'm advertising stuff to forum members in my sig and getting the impression that they can't buy my stuff even if they wanted to, just because bitmit stopped creating new accounts, sux.

@gizmo, @arsenische
Registration is open for almost all users. We have about 50-70 new users per day and as you can imagine it is not our goal to keep users out of Bitmit. You may only be blocked if you have been banned from Bitmit before or when you try to sign up with trash email addresses or when your connection is routed through the tor network. So please ensure that you do not violate these rules, clear your browser cache/cookies and try again.

It is not the intention of our long term strategy to close Bitmit or let the site disappear/get hacked. Otherwise we won't invest so much time in securing the site and server which we do indeed successfull as you can see. Preparing a proper business corporation which passes all laws and principles in connection with Bitcoin takes some time so I please you to be patient until we reveal all details about us and our business. Aside from that there are established entities in the Bitcoin community we are connected with and who know about us.

Thanks for your support.
