Governments are assuming crypto as riskier, due to many scam ICO projects in the market & due to the instability of the price which changes due to FUD/FOMO in the market. Central bank Governor of Spain has told the cryptos bring more risk than the benefits to get. but I believe on more risk more gain theory. If you can not trust crypto, you will not be able to see its value. Risk is associated with all kinda business. It just has to be calculated properly that which one would be profitable for you.

Everything that gives profit has a risk even illegal activities are more riskier.

I believe that its every country or governments rights to give their own opinion in regards to their people's safety and securities,but its our decisions being investors if can take the risk or just leave this community and have another line of profiteering

It is both beneficial and risky but I  think it is more of having a benefits than risk.In a business in order to earn you need to take risk. In cryptocurrency you need to study the market in order to avoid  or lessen risk of losing money .

The various banks are afraid of the potential that Crypto brings.  If people can instantly transfer money across the globe without involving a bank they stand to lose a lot of money in fees.  This is only one of the reasons they dislike Crypto though.
