Heh, I lost 585 drk on dice on 8 straight rounds starting at 2.5 and doubling up.
Hmmm
To be correct : you loose 2.5 drk, and you didn't win 585...?
Is this correct?

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Hey guys I'm setting up my MN now, I'm at the part where I enter "mkdir .darkcoin" except the first time I entered it I entered "mkdir .darkcoin.conf" and then I entered "joe .darkcoin/darkcoin.conf" I then pasted the conf file and tried to save it and it gave me an error because I entered the first command wrong, I did ctrl+c to close it. I then entered mkdir .darkcoin and joe .darkcoin/darkcoin.conf and pasted the conf file and it said "File .darkcoin/darkcoin.conf saved" Am I safe to continue or did I screw it up by doing "mkdir .darkcoin.conf"?

Are there any VPS providers that would be suitable for a masternode that accept DRK?
If I remember well yes there is one.
But don't remember which one...

May be have a look to the 3700 pages : I'm sure the info is in here somewhere.. Wink

This is the VPS Provider that accepts DRK, they are located on Iceland so it is ideal from a regulatory perspective. I have not used them so no idea about the quality of their service, feel free to talk to them.

http://www.flokinet.is

There is a merchant directory thread over at darkcointalk.org I am not sure how updated it is but check it out to see if you find other services you might be interested on: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/merchant-directory-listing.1692/

You are ok..

You just have an empty directory called ".darkcoin.conf"...

You can remove it
rmdir .darkcoin.conf

My Bitbay investment's back above water, but the Bitbay people don't like me very much. I had to s.t.f.u. and leave them to it cos they thought I was a fudster for trying to do due diligence even though I was invested. Crypto may not know how to do adoption but it sure understands car crash VC'ism.

For DRK folks info: IPO was around 280 sats. It plummeted to 180 then hovered for a few days at 260 and now it's getting interest at 300+. Looks like a possible safe gain if you get in now.

DISCLOSURE: Am long  Wink

P.S. Fundamentals:

 - some Bitcoin 2.0 stuff with smart contracts
 - teasers about links with Alibaba that could be nonsense or could be huge
 - most of the dev team are far east. Think the main guy's american though. Launched on BTER

You can use Darkcoin to pay wherever bitcoin is accepted with this chrome plugin.

ShapeShift Lens Unveils Automated BTC Payments Using Altcoins

Instant cryptocurrency exchange service ShapeShift has launched a new service aimed specifically at simplifying payments across different currencies.

ShapeShift Lens allows Bitcoin payments to be sent using a range of altcoins, with the conversion handled automatically once payment has been submitted.

The result allows any Bitcoin invoice, including those from merchants such as Amazon or Overstock, to be paid, for example, in Dogecoin or Litecoin.

Vultr is the best. 5 $ a month is all I pay. Limit is 1000 GB a month so you will never go over that.
You can as well earn me a beer if you order it through the following link Smiley

Edit: I can't read... sorry

vultr seems fine to me. And they accept bitcoin which makes the purchase more easy. Hope they will accepts darkcoin in future. I think this move will attract more MNO(MasterNode Operator).

Thanks for sharing.

Dear VULTR officer,

I just followed our Darkcoin community discussion to your site. And i think VULTR may be one of the best option for me to setup my Masternode (one of the "super node" in Darkcoin network) in VULTR. I notice that you've provided bitcoin payment method which makes the purchase much more easy. So i think maybe it's a smart move to add darkcoin in the payment method which will attract more MNO (MasterNode Operator) to VULTR.

BTW: darkcoin use the SAME api as bitcoin's which may easy to implement.

Best regards,

Dear All

Vultr (Cloud Servers from MN’s) seem to be the best and cheapest out there these days !
It would be great if they accept DRK for payments !

Darkbrother Raico started a very good initiative !!
Please contact Vultr and ask politely if they could accept DRK !

https://www.vultr.com/contact/

To whom it may concern,

I currently have several VPS instances with Digital Ocean running Darkcoin masternodes, I am quite happy with their service.  If you were one of the first reputable VPS providers to accept Darkcoin, it would certainly be a reason for myself, and others, to switch providers.

Darkcoin has top 5 liquidity and volume, it's compatible with the Bitcoin API so adding this form of payment should also be a path of little resistance.

There is also that added benefit of complete anonymity :-)

I have heard many good reports about VULTR in the community, keep up the great work.

Chris

Still need 300DRK for the next MN.

100DRK = 10%
plus 0.5DRK for Server and Escrow Fee

200DRK = 20%
plus 1.0DRK for Server and Escrow Fee

300DRK = 30%
plus 1.5DRK for Server and Escrow Fee

Send email to: escrow@darkcoin.io

(I have to work my real-world job today but I should be around to answer any questions)

Put me down for 100DRK... Assuming you're still looking? Shall I email the escrow address for more details?

Thanks  Smiley
