In my country they just banned Uber, probably for the same reason. Lobby's to maintain the status quo.
Didn't they try to ban it in Australia, too?  Last I heard, the ban failed. Drivers apparently used Uber's passenger rating system to simply blacklist all undercover cops who attempted sting operations against them.  Anybody down under have an update on that situation?  It is pretty interesting when you consider that Uber is effectively a multinational, self governed entity that has no particular jurisdiction.  Uber and crypto will make great bedfellows, methinks.   Probably the only thing keeping services like Uber tied down to any physical jurisdiction is the link to the fiat banking system.

It depends on which state you live in, NSW has incorporate Taxi's into the Uber. Queensland on the other hand has a strong taxi lobby so it is still illegal, but Uber pay the fine($5000) if any of their drivers gets caught so its business as usual.

That list is missing a key factor.

BTC is the main exchange pair.

If you use $ as the ATH, you need to take into account the price of BTC during the month of the ATH.

ATH should be measured against BTC.

This is an excellent point and, in retrospect, an obvious oversight. How about this (prices in BTC):

Xcurrency:
ATH 0.00315
Current 0.000193
Percentage Decline: 93.87%

Cloakcoin:
ATH 0.00305
Current 0.000224
Percentage Decline: 92.66%

BitcoinDark:
ATH 0.0135
Current 0.00371
Percentage Decline: 72.52%

Blackcoin:
ATH .000723
Current 0.0000613
Percentage Decline: 91.52%

Litecoin:
ATH 0.042
Current 0.0061
Percentage Decline: 85.47%

Paycoin:
ATH 0.0404
Current 0.000586
Percentage Decline: 98.55%

...COMPARE TO...

Dash (Darkcoin)
ATH 0.02685
Current 0.01283
Percentage Decline: 52.22%

...AND JUST FOR FUN!...

Monero:
ATH 0.0079
Current 0.00213
Percentage Decline: 73.04%

I disagree with how you express the % decline.
Monero for example has declined to 27% of it's all time high, (saying 73% is misleading)
And it has reduced to 3.7 times its peak value

I got a bigger one for you: Quarkcoin :

This hit an ATH of 0.0003 btc and now is 0.0000027 btc
So quarkcoin has declined to only 0.9 % of it's all time high.
And it has reduced a staggering 111 times it's peak price !!

And everybody's all round favourite, none other than our volcano loving auroracoin.
This hit an ATH of .12 btc and is now 0.0002 btc
so auroracoin has declined to only 0.17% of it's all time high.
And it has reduced to a record 600 times less than its peak value!!!

As you point out, Dash has only reduced to roughly half its all time high measured in bitcoins and measured in dollars its about 20% of the peak of $15 (when bitcoin itself was much higher so weighting it up more of course)

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

I object to the dev(s) of other projects openly smearing the dev of another project.

I really wanted to just use the ignore button. That still works for all of the Monero trolls. It is the devs campaign that I object to. And one of the devs is at it again.

My current summary of the Monero scam launch is here, below the Monero devs continued smear campaign, dressed up as an objective conscientious objector

Exposing Dash's stolen name, questionable security, unproven privacy, unforgivable instamine, ill-advised centralization, and offensive HYIP attributes is not "smearing."

Furthermore, one's status as "the dev of another project" in no way precludes them from participating in evaluation and critique of other coins.

EG:  GMAXWELL is a BTC core dev, but as the architect of CoinJoin he was 100% qualified to make the determination that Dash's implementation of CoinJoin is broken.

The only reason you object to "other devs" participating here is because they disagree with you and think Dash sucks.

If they were praising Dash, you'd welcome them.

That is so transparently self-serving and dishonest, your parents should be slapped for raising such an insufferable hypocrite.

Ah good old Auroracoin. I remember that mania vividly. How about Qora? That's an oldie but a goodie.

It's hard to pick a favorite. Auroracoin which is 1/600th of its former price, or Paycoin which was supposed to trade for $20 each (although they never did) and is now worth fifteen cents. That was insanity!

(P.S. I'm not reveling in anyone's misfortunes...I'm considering the failure of the coins themselves. I do honestly feel for those who were sucked in by the hype. For what it's worth, I bought most of my DASH not much below the ATH, so trust me, I feel the pain of paper losses.)

Never noticed Qora, but remember mining auroracoin with scrypt just before asic came and wiped all GPU'ed scrypt out, and I got 8 coins in 4 days, can you believe I transfered the coins into the c-cex to sell and waited to long (had a whole bitcoins worth for about 5 minutes), in a couple of days it had gone down to 0.01 btc already and so I waited for it to go back up again.
Am still waiting for auroracoin to go back to the moon, lolol.

General instruction -

Convert received Bitcoin/DASH/altcoins to USD/EUR

https://gourl.io/#section8

You will need to create an account on Cryptsy.com or on Bitstamp.com (trading platforms)
Setup so that all your received payments are automatically forwarded from your GoUrl.io account to your account on Cryptsy / Bitstamp (enter your Cryptsy/Bitstamp coin wallet address in gourl payment box settings). And use the "autosell" feature (auto trade your cryptocoins to USD) on Cryptsy/Bitstamp.
Using that functionality you don't need to worry if cryptocurrency prices go down or up. Within 1-2 hours after a cryptocoin payment has been received by you, your payment will be automatically converted to USD on Cryptsy/Bitstamp and will be kept on your Cryptsy/Bitstamp USD account.
Later you can withdraw your USD from Cryptsy/Bitstamp to your own USA/UK/France/etc bank account

The big benefit of our GoUrl Cryptocoin Payment Box/Captcha is that it fully integrated on your website, no external payment pages opens (as other payment gateways offer).

For best results, forward the DASH to your own cold wallet instead of an exchange.

I agree.
As additional security we do not keep any user's money (bitcoin, altcoins) on our servers.
All received payments are automatically forwarded to user's external wallet addresses within the next 30 minutes.
We use industry-leading technology (such as SSL encryption) to keep transaction information safe.
This gives additional protection to our customers against hackers, etc.
