... Only hungry peasants rebel; a full belly does not induce a revolution. ... well said! things will have to get a lot worse before people wake up I hear you, guys. Here in the sunny UK, this is the welcome at some of our festivals this year, http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/06/11/download_festival_big_brother_playground_leicestershire_police/"NeoFace has been intentionally limited in scope to ensure that it only uses images held on our custody database. Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

Thanks. I read the part where your developer states that: "I no longer feel the name Darkcoin reflects the true essence of the project and have decided to rebrand our product".But that only partly answers my question. Why did he think that the name Darkcoin no longer reflected the product? Anonymity is a concept still prominently used in the product's tagline. Your developer goes on to state that: "Currently we’re investigating the name “Dash”." Was the developer not aware of the pre-existing Dashcoin - and the Dashcoin community, who referred to their coin as Dash, and to themselves as the Dash community? The name is similar and is causing confusion. So, in light of this: why was the name "Dash" chosen?

it seems that Dash was suggested by someone one BCT a while ago as an abbreviation (of sorts) for Digital Cash. but I'm pretty sure that was mentioned in the article you've read. If you're really interested, go back a couple of hundred pages in this thread, there is an extremely exhaustive discussion of Dashcoin, Dash the wahsing powder, and a lot of other things using similar names, as well as the rationale for the name switch

So, considering all this, why was the name "Dash" chosen?

I'll take a look later when I have more time, but so far I've not had simple answers to a couple of simple questions.

I bet a DASH that your questions will soon turn to FUD and/or trolling. Any takers? Why do you attempt to smear, rather than give straightforward answers to simple questions? Are my questions too hard for you? I believe that they are questions that any investor, or potential investor would be interested in knowing the answers to.

Hey guys please remember not to engage with trolls and be wary of sock puppet accounts that are created to drive an agenda. They are not interested in your answers just looking to present their views disguised as questions.

Sure you do. You root for crypto as long as you can deceive people about launch times, instamine a HUGE number of coins in the first 8 hours of launch (1.5 million coins), slow emission after your instamine from 500 coins / block to 5, and reduce the total coin supply from 80 million to 20 million to make your instamine worth more. Then deceive people some more by claiming there was "no premine" and the massive instamine fraud was "just an accident" You don't believe in crypto at all. You believe in deception for the purpose of personal gain.
