Where can I read about the "Brick & Mortar DASH Merchant"?

Any easy to follow tutorial on how to set up a merchant or escrow webpage with DASH? I would like to set up something for Steam community items.

TLDR: bugs with large wallets cause Bittrex to use Darkcoil, bug has since been fixed and all major exchanges are using core qt.

  I'm pretty sure none of the exchanges are using QT GUI clients, unless they're nuts. Might explain Mintpal v2.0 though, idiots trying to run 143 QT clients on a crappy Windows server.

I think it would be best if any software like that were open source, and to be honest the masternode checker too, or is it already? I don't want to take anything away from your work, but I think the need to trust should be reduced when possible. What do you think about setting a target of Dash donations to publish the source code? I would be more than willing to contribute.

If I was to make and release an app that managed MNs and connected and communicated at that level, yeh, I agree that open source would be essential really.

As for the alert app, as it is, it only reads publicly available data using an address you give it. Not a lot of point. Plus, everyone would then see how terrible my development skills are 

So how can one be sure that the app doesn't call home with the IP address of the user making the masternode queries? I'm not suggesting that you are doing anything like that, but if you did want to target holders of large amounts of Dash an app like that would probably be a pretty good way of singling them out.

You should open source it, the innate ghastliness of java will easily mask any dodgy coding of your own.

I think we all should calm down a bit and give bitfinex some time. I definitely wouldn't like to lose them just because we are pushing too hard and they have some reasonable issues adapting everything fast.

This was announced to users and services a few days ago to give them time to prepare, but expect some coexistence of both brands for some time while everyone adapts.

This is one of the biggest BTC exchanges and a great route into China.  All that liquidity sitting there waiting to be deployed your way once DASH starts hitting its stride.

They seem to have some legit reasons for not making any changes. The DASH foundation needs to work with them to find a solution.

If someone is posting big buywalls and then removing them (fake buywalls), it's usually because they are wanting out of the market, not in.

They're trying to push up the price a bit, attract liquidity into the bid stack so they can dump into it without moving the price too much and thereby obtain a better average for their "dump".

We already discussed this earlier. DSH is already Dashcoin. Using this would be more confusing than everyting else. DASH is the only way to go.

There does seem to be a bit of a trend reversal going on. The 6-hour volume has leapt right up out of the background.

The longer range (3-day) OBV and RSI's have bottomed out while the shorter range (4-hour) indicators have all taken off quite a bit. Bid walls are being placed, not getting any sells, then being removed, then replaced with smaller bids (e.g. on Cryptsy, 5k to 2k) which implies that someone is actually in the market for some 4-digit orders.

At the moment you'd have to buy up the whole order book to get 5k Dash on Cryptsy. (That will change as the price rises - supply will precipitate out of nowhere).

No. It was anonymous at step 3, but when you buy BTC on exchange, the exchange can link the BTC you withdraw to your exchange account.

If you want to buy something anonymously, do steps 1-3 and buy it with DASH.

OK, I hear what you are saying. Maybe I will reconsider then. I do understand that trust is paramount with crypto. Although I've only just started posting, I've been reading for a few years now. I've seen why people are (rightly so) overly cautious. That was why I was happy to put my real name on the app. It is quite easy to find my personal details and I have no problem with that. I eat, sleep, breathe Dash. I'm here for the long haul.

You should open source it, the innate ghastliness of java will easily mask any dodgy coding of your own.  

If 'Dodgy' is the most unfavorable description I'd attract, I wouldn't complain.
