At long last I finished the one-pager for Darkcoin.

You can see the doc here:
http://wowgwow.com/Darkcoin-one-pager.pdf
http://wowgwow.com/Darkcoin-one-pager.docx

From experience, having all the most processed and digested info on one-page makes it very easy for journalists, bloggers, readers etc. to tap in. I believe this will make our marketing efforts much easier.

Since neither English nor technology are my first "languages", please feel free to rephrase anything.

My 2cents.
If you can rephrase that in layman's terms (something new to crypto would understand, like analogies to common stuff - especially darksend), I'm more than happy to make an infographic out of it.
I tried to reach a balance between layman's terms for newbies, and more technical details for those seeking in-depth understanding. As for Darksend explanation, I copied what the devs gave... BUT i encourage you to do an infographics. The worst [best] that can happen is that you will get feedback and be able to make it better. Go ahead...

In the one pager, need to change spelling of COMPETITIVE.

I am happy to edit for professional English and good communication. I have done this for a number of currencies' sites and promotions. I understand aspects of Cryptos as well as being a writer... just let me know how.

Simply open the word file [link above], correct whatever you find fit [if possible with 'track changes', but not a must], save, and send it back to me at:
info[at]one-pager.net

I will keep an updated version online with all the changes and corrections people give.

I was just thinking of the android wallet idea. Version 5.2 of qt is out right now and it has a native backend for android AFAIK and also AFAIK qt4->qt5 is very easy. Couldn't we just port darkcoin-qt to qt5 and compile for android and maybe change around the UI a bit for better usability rather easily.

Hi, I just DM'd you about this, but I can do the Chinese translation bounty. If you send me the content you need translated, I'll get it back to you by the time the site is up.

First draft of Darkcoin bounties

These are subject to change. Please suggest more and give me your feedback.

A quick explanation of how this will work: The "base bounty amount" is not the final bounty, it's a relative figure to make calculations easier. The base figure is adjusted depending on the actual donations we've received in the fundraiser. The "adjusted bounty amount" is what will actually be paid out.

TL/DR: Donate more, and all the bounties will go up!

*** PLEASE NOTE: Translation bounties will apply only to the new website, which is not yet launched! Expect it to be launched within a couple weeks. ***

Fundraising wallet: Xc8xGSP7FwWGPQpgw298z7NYdA8xJK8ooh

PM me your submissions with some kind of proof that it's your work. Some of these bounties are first-in-gets-paid, and some will go into a pool where the best will be judged to receive the bounty (these are marked as such below).
why is it good to have a pool reaching 1 GH/s? that's plain stupid.

Totally Agree, best would be that most HashPower comes from P2Pool !

Pools are a weak centralised system.

We don't need any 51% attacks, DataBase hack, Hot Wallet hijacking or whatever....

Throwing away 3% of the donations for that is fucking bad !
You should send it to the P2Pool creator and Chaeplin (the one who forks it for DRK).

About BAMT integration, I've modified a SMOS miner install scrypt and posted it in the sph-miner thread :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.msg5487088#msg5487088

You just have to past it in a file, rename it "whatever.sh" and execute, that's it !

One item you should amend to the list is a travel fund, if the dev is into it, to get him to go to (and speak at) conferences. Get noticed and many of those other pieces (like media attention and legit parties willing to audit/test the code) fall into place.

This is a very very good point. Look at all the hype ZeroCoin has got -- basically all they have ever done is give talks (which is the problem with the coin Smiley ). I think a very significant portion of this money should be spent going to crypto and bitcoin conferences and presenting the technicals of DarkCoin. One talk will lead to many blog posts and I'm sure even mainstream press. If Evan wants to do that it is ideal; if not we really need to find someone who can.

Along those lines, we really need a detailed whitepaper as well.

I am planning on ordering Physical Darkcoins very soon, but I need a design for the back of the coin.

I was thinking where on the front it has the binary it should say: The only privacy-centric cryptographic currency.

With something else in the middle.

Please post some ideas up SOON, who ever's design gets picked will get a free physical coin!!!!

 Grin

Physical Darkcoins = with private keys on them or simply collectibles or bullion coins printed on .999 silver/gold?

Maybe:

1. around the top edge: Aliquam et libertas [which google tells me is latin for Liberty and Privacy]
2. around the bottom edge: spondeo solutionem [which google tells me is latin for I promise to make payment]
3. in the middle even duffield + year of manufacture

Wall Street Journal writer - little chance I imagine but who knows!

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

I converted the current coin to eps.

Do we not like this design? Do we want to change the logo again?

Send a PM to the person that posted the bounty they are the ones in charge of getting the work done.

As the market gets more crowded, marketing efforts are getting more sophisticated. Check out this video marketing EBT coin:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVKHC1rxZJs

DRK needs to aim for the same sleek look (not necessarily involving live acting - I just mean professional grade quality).
