Is it safe to create additional user accounts in Windows 8 and download Darksend daemon in each of them so that I can set up multiple testnet MNs (and perhaps mainnet MNs in the future) ? What is the limit to the user accounts? Thanks

Sure you can. Sure is the easy way. You can also do it on 1 account by creating shortcuts pointing the QT to different data directories. Anyone mind filling the blanks? I'm on the road on my phone

Thanks for the confirmation. I feel like creating different user accounts sounds a safer way of doing it. Don't wanna play with data directories etc

Yep, dead easy... Just go to search/run in windows and type %appdata%. This is where darkcoin stores your data. You'll probably already have a folder in there called darkcoin and it'll contain your wallet data etc.

In that folder just create X number of folders for each darkcoin wallet you want to run, for example:

\MN1
\MN2
\tMN1
\tMN2
\MainWallet
\TestWallet

Or whatever you want.

Then create a shortcut to the darkcoin program and append the following to the target link under shortcut properties:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Darkcoin\darkcoin-qt.exe" -datadir=c:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\MN1\"

This tells the program to override the default setting and load from the folder specified.

Repeat until you have a shortcut on your desktop for each instance you want to run.

You then run them one by one, let the wallet sync with the network (takes a while), and then you're ready to go!

Mines is not in Library/Application support/, ther is no darcoin or xcoin folders. And even search doesnt find file wallet.dat?

I don't think you can do multiple NMs that way being that you need a unique IP for each node. You can, however, use that method to run multiple clients for testing purposes. Really no purpose on mainnet unless you have unique IPs not associated with you to further anon funds.

Price is doing fine. For weeks 5 has been the base and 7 the peak. It's around 6 so no "fear and scariness" needed

I think people are getting freaked out by the relative stability that DRK is enjoying at the moment.  5-7 is quite a bit of range but it is a nice steady and reliable range at the moment.

No pumping, no notable dumping.  All is well.
