How long does an instatX transaction take to be broadcasted on average?

Well technically it's broadcast immediately, like any other tx, but on testnet it was taking 15-20 secs for the consensus lock and full confirmation on the receive end.

The worse I got was like 40 seconds... But let it be perfectly clear. On mainnet it could be little longer. I think Evan mentioned this in the demo video, right?

I don't think that's an appropriate measure when it wasn't consistent by any means.

We're talking testnet, so I am obviously referring to successful attempts. Bugs still need to be ironed out.

Obviously you are talking testnet... it was never on mainnet. I'm simply saying that if it were consistent by any means, then you would have times to go off of but for the most part, things need to iron out before any meaningful measurement can be taken. The attempts made were around the time when the masternodes were about 10-12ish and dropping. And it was very few and far in between any successful lock.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

yes indeed. I was just reporting my experience. What I meant by testnet was, in my experience, when IX came through, the majority of the time, at worse 40 seconds to come through. By no means I said it was flawless.

It is so hard to buy a node nowadays. Nobody wants to sell at 0.006xx anymore. I think we're into 7xx tonight.

Looks like somebody just bought a masternode at  0.006xx...

Does anybody have a theory on why people sell at these price levels at all? Are they not informed about the potential? Wouldn't it make more sense to hold or place sell orders at a higher price when demand comes recurrently off the order book like that?

Market is tight but someone keeps putting blocks up... Once we clear 650 I think we could fly up to around 750 pretty fast...

My guess is that it is short term traders.  Bought low, selling higher.  I regularly forget myself but DRK still qualifies as a risky long term investment.

I have a chunk of DRK that I play with on the exchange, when the price rises to a predetermined price, I sell approx. 100drk and when the price falls to a certain point I buy back as much as possible to increase my position little by little....hoping for a 2nd MN someday.

Yep.. however this strategy only works when the price is moving up and down within a certain range.
It goes out of the window if it goes plummets / jumps up and stays there.

Do you guys think Evan's lecture on the bitcoin expo will affect the price?

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied
