What is an API and does DRK have one?

So Monero up next ? Smiley

While Monero has most of the votes, we believe that it is still a bit premature for direct betting purposes.

The main reason is because the API is not yet finalized. Another reason is that the official wallet does not yet have a GUI.

That being said, we're monitoring its progress and hope to be able to accept it soon.

Meanwhile, please do continue to share your thoughts on which other altcoin we should add.

We're seriously considering accepting additional coins and your feedback has been valuable for us. Thanks.

What do you think about a "minor nodes"?
It's possible the minor nodes work together with master nodes?
For me this possibility increase the darkcoin project.
(sorry for my bad english)

Please define "minor nodes"

Minor nodes: a little version of master nodes.
Benefits: more speed, more mix, more decentralizes and less work for master nodes.
Be Minor nodes: 500 DRK request.
Function: assist master nodes.

(sorry for my bad english)

But what exact service would they provide?

It's what the rpcuser commands are for darkcoin. Like listtransactoins, sendfrom, getaccountfromaddress.

The same service.
Or specific/dedicated services choise to devs.
It's only an idea to relieve a master nodes.
And system will be more safe (anti DDos)
Those who agree with me?

There aren't going to be micro, mini, or minor nodes. Evan said the 1k threshold is there to stay.

Yes, sure!
I think a system more better than this.

Anyway it's only an idea... that's it.

Darksend Demonstration by Eduffield

I think many critics of Darkcoin have very little understanding of how Darksend works and why it is better than cryptonote or ZeroKnowledge. This post from Evan from darkcointalk summarizes it very well and demonstrates Darksend for newcomers, please bump every few pages.

Quote from: eduffield

No, check this out. I'll try to find where the source of that transaction came from. This is why Darksend is so powerful, this anon-transaction literally comes from all of these transactions below. There is no 1-to-1 relationship with the original money after the sessions happen. In crypto-note/zero knowledege the 1-to-1 relationship is still in the blockchain, it's just hidden with math (that could be broken later). With Darksend, you literally wipe out the relationship all-together (The ONLY way to prove who sent what is with the owners wallet):

Anon Transaction:

I used 8 rounds:

Round 8:
http://test.explorer.darkcoin.fr/tx/e15791d16890d72e64d9b5eb72a37ff2e1fc406b51971d658c872e175bc4f55c

It gets exponentially larger as you go backwards, I would keep going but that already took 30 minutes to do 3 rounds.

It's a protocol bump, so make sure you stop the masternode first and then start the masternode back up from the hot wallet.

Updated my 2 masternodes, all looking good so far!

I think I'll be the first p2pool node to say updated this time around...

or

Thank you very much Tongue

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014
