Hi all. So I just got enough CHC to start a masternode. I plan on setting it up on GCP (Google Cloud Platform). Looks like an exciting project and community!

is the ccminer use the same command line settings ?

I cant find a single example of how the command line should look like. Even the suprnova pool doesnt give a single example.

What a weird experience so far, its like they dont want people mining it.

WTH! it enabled the internal ip??!!
OK yeah an internal IP is definitely going to be a problem.  You need to do this:

1.  Find your real external IP address
2.  Put that external IP address in the chaincoin.conf file
3.  Assign a static IP (internal) address to your PC
4.  Setup your router so that port 11994 is "forwarded" to your PC's static IP address

Regarding (4) it is a little tricky, each router has its own way of doing this.  They may call it "port forwarding", "virtual servers" or something else.  But in all cases, they will have a way to create a map where if a packet comes to your router with destination port 11994, the system will route it to a specific destination (internal) IP and port (make the port number the same 11994).

One concern that I have with this though is if your ISP changes your IP with DHCP you may need to change the chaincoin.conf.  Fortunately, this will typically happen only if you reboot your router.  The other thing is you will have to leave your machine on 24X7.

It's the same as any other .bat file with ccminer, just change the algorithm to C17 and use a ChainCoin wallet address of course. If ccminer is new to you I can share my settings for mining on yiimp --- suprnova would be a different setup since they require registration and a workername as well.

Hello,

I only used EWBF, Genoil, Claymore, Marlin and Nicehash.

Can you share a generic setting for any pool please ? Im using a few GTX-1080 Ti/GTX-1080/GtX-1060. I already have an account with Suprnova but Im fine with mining on yiimp.

Thank you !

I made it work looking at the .cmd and .bat files in the directory.

It seems to work , this is how I made it: "ccminer-x64 -a c11 -o stratum+tcp://chc.suprnova.cc:5888 -u username.workname -p workerpassword"

Thanks anyway !

can someone that is running multiple masternodes on Ubuntu shed some light on the process using chaincoind?

I'm thinking I need to have multiple wallets and specify lets say 5 different -datadir's to start chaincoind.  Then genkey for every wallet, then update the chaincoin.conf with masternode attributes. That sound about right?

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but it looks like you got it figured out. Smiley That's the same way my .bat files for suprnova look. For Yiimp you just make "-u YourWalletAddress" and no password is required.

And how often do i get coins from it? Has been going 12 hours so far for nothing so unsure weather Its not working or I have to wait longer or how often they payout etc? Thanks  Grin

Anyone gotten 2 master nodes running on multiple home computers? The chaincoin wallet binds itself to port 11994 and won't let a 2nd instance run a node on a 2nd pc. If u look at the masternode list in the debug console there are many using many other ports besides the 11994 and 11995 but sane ip's. I've tried opening other ports for it besides those 2 and using the masternodeaddr=myip:new port opened and the node will not start like my first one I set up. And yes I have 1000 coins in the 2nd wallet.

Question: If a person A has one masternode with 2.000 CHC and a person B has two masternodes with 1.000 CHC each. Would'nt they earn the same amount of token in the end ? Since the rewards are retributed proportionally with the number of CHC you hold: person A-> (2.000*X)=(1000*2*X) <-person B, with X the reward.

Another question: Bittrex ? Does anyone know when it will be on it ? The roadmap on chaincoin.org indicates available on Bittrex Quarter 2 of 2017 :/

I don't think it is worth mining now !

I hear you can pull 10 coins a day with an avarage rig, at a price of 0.50$ (which is less then what it is at the time i am writing this) you would pull 5 dollars a day, 150 dollars a month.
So in my op8inion enough to profit slightly after the electricity costs. Compared to anything else it's not worth it, but if you think it might rise one day... why not. I'll point one good card at it for sure if price stays around about where it is now.

Is it listed in any good exchange?

Not good really. Cryptopia has it and is alright I think. Works fine, wouldn't leave funds hanging in there any longer then I must though- I've no idea about the devs credibility.
