Can't have been checking too regularly since I cancelled the server August 14th 2015 when I got a new server and it was only recently that anyone spoke up about it As far as sending you the files to host yourself it was a standard Abe install as from https://github.com/bitcoin-abe/bitcoin-abe (I don't recall offhand but it may have been a fork with scrypt support however) You're right! I haven't use it regularly since then,.... but when it was there I was using it regularly. After it was offline, I didn't had any other choice than to go on my wallet computer to check the difficulty. :p I rarely have to check address from the blockchain so the block explorer wasn't a necessity for me, but it was a useful tool Thank you for the link i'll check if it's not to complicated to setup

I have been look for an exchange for CASH, but with out a web site if is not going to happen, I am thinking about getting my web site built (cash-co.in), new block explorer (ABE), a new wallet and checkpoint added to code I might be willing too help fund this , if any one would be willing to chip in ? ,If some one could up load the ABE block explorer , that would save some time and money. https://github.com/bitcoin-abe/bitcoin-abe Depending on the interest , depends on the amount it would cost each of us. I have a quote for a wordpress web site build, new wallet , checkpoint added to code and a ABE block explorer, I am in contact with tuxnut, he is going to take a look at the offer to do the work for me, see if its a good price

I have that error when trying to compile the wallet on ubuntu:
/usr/include/boost/asio/ssl/impl/context.ipp:97:29: error: ‘::SSLv3_server_method’ has not been declared handle_ = ::SSL_CTX_new(::SSLv3_server_method());
Anyone know a workaround?

Problem solved! Need an newer version of libboost. But there was a need to modify CASH-qt.pro file from source because it forces "make" to use a very specific version of boost and give error /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_system-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53 etc.. But now a new wallet is up and running in ubuntu What is the way to release a corrected version of the wallet? (compile error, checkpoint, etc..)

Maybe we should open a new thread, as only the original dev can update the first page of the curent thread...

I have one up and running on my local network but I have nowhere to host it. And for the new wallet, how can we update the git if we dont have access to the original account? As I understand it, for the checkpoint to work it need a special node that is running with the master private key that pair with the public key in the coin source code. Would it need to be forked?

Dev is long gone, he once appeared in 2014 april when the coin had a pump. My guess is he is 1 of coin cloners group and has many alts here, so i wouldnt trust this guy anyway. This issue was discussed here and spoetnik mentioned it could be someone from cryptsy team.
Guys, try to imagine what use Cash would have. I can only think of currency for gambling site. If someone could build economy around that.
Does anybody know how many coins are stuck in cryptsy ?

Who is running a node atm?
From the peer info it look like only me from canada + 1 guy in the usa who is running "subver" : "/Cash:0.7.2/" , the other 4 nodes (germany, france, russia and vietnam) are running "subver" : "/Satoshi:0.7.2/".
The Usa node with cash subversion is the original dev?!
What do you guys think?

I need some people to check the hash of block 1001001 from their wallet and post the result here. It's just to confirm that we are all on the same chain before updating checkpoint Here is how to: In your wallet go to -"help" -"debug window" -"console" Then write "getblockhash 1001001" (without " ") and post the resulting line here Here is mine: (yours should be the same) getblockhash 1001001 000000006511a0996c8c7f3969c59e5f8555ee81eb4798b443b535c534c14b08Hope to get answer sooner than later!

Thank you Phil and Steve! I would like you to do the same exercise with block # 1070001 please. So here what i"ve got for now... I can update the checkpoint but there is a master checkpoint node that use public/private key pair that does not allow other nodes to use newer checkpoint than the one used on that master node. ( Anyone know if there is a way to know if that master node is online or not?) I think that I can safely create a new one and it should work perfectly. As a test i've removed the public key in my build and my wallet is syncing fine without checkpoint error and my block explorer is connected to that wallet and see all the new block as usual... Of course if I release that new wallet, we will ALL need to use it!!
